Had two from Pinecone in the past month... As I'm single with no kids, that might disqualify me from some surveys though.

Perhaps it's just that companies have less ready money to commission surveys...? Onepoll seems to be booming though!

    Best wishes to all. xx

In short, you don't. They don't do referrals or have easy to find sign up pages. You are supposed to sign by clicking on their banner ads you see on other sites BUT googling can find you valid sign up links. This is the site where I originally found a working sign up link:

    http://mysurvey123.com/index.php/Paid-Surveys-Reviews/Pinecone-Research.html

    A few disclaimers though:

Firstly, they are not accepting anyone at the moment so the link on that site currently doesn't work (it is regularly updated though).
Secondly, the 'sign up' page is actually a 'register your interest in joining' page, not an automatic sign up.
Thirdly, I gave my details about a year ago and I've yet to hear anything from them.

JDPower is mainly correct, however, very occasionally Pinecone do ask members to refer 'friends and relatives' to them. Rarely are they just any friend or relative though this has happened once for me over the last 10 years or so. It is more likely that they ask for specific referral criteria, for example, male friends/relatives aged between 20 and 40 years old. :)

I was a member for a while. They're -- they were then -- very small, they only sent me surveys on IT, that seemed to be meant for IT professionals. I'm not sure how my membership lapsed. They may have improved now.

I had the same as you Ashtonluke and emailed Emma to ask why I hadnt had a survey in weeks. Got an email back saying something about my account being cancelled. I've tried to get back on there using a different email address and that account they also closed. Dont know what I did wrong as they wont tell you if you email them but I guess you need to know so pop Emma an email across and see if the account is still active with them. I'm quite annoyed at this site as I was doing really well getting vouchers from them, was keeping me in a Pizza Hut treat every now and then!!

I got that response too when i emailed them yesterday. I have emailed back to ask them to be more specific as I have no idea what it was that I'm supposed to have done. They stated that I had contravened their terms and conditions so I reread them in full and the only thing I can think of from that is that I had a mysurvey and a lightspeed account at the point of the merger which would imply two accounts so I have written to them again to complain that that wasn't specifically my fault and if it's not that could they please be more specific as to what it was that I did/said. I too am annoyed cos it kept me in Amazon vouchers for books for my Kindle

I've just noticed this reply sorry. I emailed that Emma and got a reply saying they were having technical issues with the site. I've been getting new survey invites recently. That's strange, though, that they said they had cancelled your account! Opinionworld is a more regular payer anyway so I tend to prioritise that over mysurvey.

I've just had a look back at the MSE survey article and it's long overdue an update. Opinion World isn't even listed. Just The Answer is one of the recommended ones despite the fact they don't seem to send out surveys at all now.

If anyone wants to list worthwhile survey sites they use, with payout thresholds and survey regularity, that would be useful.

To kick things off I use:

    Recommend:
Valued Opinions, £10 threshold, survey invitations most days.
MySurvey, £3 minimum reward, regular but not quite as many as Valued Opinions
Ipsos, £10 threshold, one or two a week

    Not recommended
JustTheAnswer, £5 threshold, just two surveys in a year.

    To add to your list:

    Recommended:
Opinionworld- the best out there. I have averaged £10 every 2 weeks or so. Best part is they pay cash straight into your paypal account once you pass the £10 (1000 oints) limit so there is no delay in receiving it.
