called sky, had briefly read about offer of free sky+ box and m&s vouchers in the money saver email and said this to them. they said they were unable to match the voucher offer but match the free sky+ box and also waved any fees. (with the m&s offer you pay £30 conection fee) so really just ask for any thing and everything and see what they will offer. desperate times calls for desperate measures.

i was speaking to sky salesman in the shopping centre he was offering sky hd box £49 inc installation £16.50 a month for 1 pack plus £10 hd plus sky talk for £10 instead of £17 as our area does'nt do the broadband which includes free weekend calls, plus they will pay my bt line rental for a year works out £36.25 a month i'm currently with bt option 3 and i'm paying about £40 a month which we hardly make the most of so thinking sky deal is not bad no mention of vouchers though!
  • Regarding the telephone line for Sky this is just a ploy to get you to use their interactive service, also beware that you don't land a very large telephone bill as sometimes the Sky box can dial things it is not supposed to like the speaking clock I have herd of people being landed with a telephone bill into hundreds of pounds and unless you can prove it was the Sky box that dialled which is almost impossible it then you will be libel for payment.

I've had Sky for 10 years now. The telephone has always been connected and this has never happened to me.

The price for the speaking clock is a one of payment, it doesn't charge by the minute.

If anyone has taken up this offer with Sky, just be warned that you may need to chase them for your £50 M&S vouchers.

We had it installed months ago and had to really chase them with emails and letter to get our hands on the vouchers. They did arrive in the end however.

We had Sky + HD put in just before Christmas and I am having the same problem and seem to be on an endless loop of telephone messages leading nowhere. What e-mail address did you use? At least I will feel my message may have arrived this way.

The also appear not to be processing orders going through Quidco, obviously to avoid paying out the cash back.

We didn't receive the £50 M&S vouchers either. We got Sky last May but not through Quidco. Given up. I just wish we could go elsewhere.
