MOT expires on 28th May. Is scrappage scheme worth it?

Just to update this post, my car had it's MOT test yesterday.
It failed, but only on a windscreen wiper and headlamp. I got them to fix those, and a new tyre, as one had only just passed. Along with a service and the test fee came to a total of £155
Naturally I'm delighted by this. I can put off buying another car for at least a year, and concentrate on paying off debt rather than accumulating it0 -
