let her sell her xbox. it will be a learning curve for her. ask her if there is any other way she can help out financially. Sell some CDs, I know it sounds harsh but you will be teaching her responsibility in which case you will eventually be proud of her and hopefully she will eventually she will be proud of herself for taking it on. Think its called tough love.
Get her to sell something to buy a £20 pay as you go phone. She has broken the trust you have built up and she has to work to rebuild it.
She probably doenst even realise it. Its not just the money is it.?make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks for all your advice - I have phone them up again today and spoke to a couple of very nice ladies who said that I did not need to pay termination fees and that the chap I spoke to yesterday had got it wrong.
They have agreed to let me pay £156 for 3 months but I pay £200 now so there is less to pay later. Feel a lot better now.
I have told my daughter that she will have to help towards payment and to go through her stuff and she what she can sell on ebay, and she said she would look for a paper round or similar so hopefully she will have learnt her lesson.
Thanks again :beer:0 -
Glad you have made some progress. I hope she will not do a repeat performance if she keeps the phone. She's going to have to get one heck of a paper round to pay that lot back...No free lunch, and no free laptop0
