it certainly looks like a cut,

but from my limited experience it intentionally damaging tyre (at uni course) this is 90% caused by a knock,

  • Also what kind of manouvre do you have to be doing to hoof the rear offside up a kerb without damage to the other wheels?

Turning at a junction and hitting the kerb.

Turning at a junction and hitting the kerb.

You might turn in/out of the junctions on the wrong side of the road but i find it better not to.

Anyway i have half the answer pics to follow shortly!

Had the tyre replaced today (been to busy this week) and the guys found this inside!

So obviously not a MFR fault haha,

But still begs the question !!!!!! is it? And how did it become wedged in my tyre.

For all those hard of reading i have not clouted anything (except obviously the offending item) or hit any kerbs etc etc. This must of happened at exactly the time of the bang i.e. just as i was going round the roundabout. If it was just loose on the floor i don't see how it would of been able to jam its way through the side wall, all i can think of is that it was sticking up from a grate or something??

    Any ideas peeps?

Looks like a piece of racking to me.

From a roof rack or some shelving or a runner from a draw.
