found a great deal yesterday on holidaycitysuperstore and booked it. Received accomodation email confirmation, but the above have telephoned to say it was a 'mistake' on their system! Have been told either we pay an extra £392 or cancel?
My question is, can they do this?
( obviously I dont want to say what the 'deal' is, but anyone who wants to know.... details can be provided! )
Cheers,
Gav

they have suggested as such..... however the location, dates (and price) suit us perfectly... I'm thinking our dream hol is rapidly going down the drain... However, we do have accomodation confirmation, is that all we need???

i would have thought that they couldnot do this, if they quoted and it changed then fair enough but as they have taken your money and confirmed i would have thought it was their tough luck. when i worked in travel if we made a mistake we had to bear the costs.MSE convert, trying to save the pennies!:T Darling Z born 03/06 and Darling M born 03/09. mmmmm, maybe there's a wee chink of hope then! Its still advertised on at least 2 websites.... £20 for 14nights accomodation... might have to let all know so that we can all party at travel agents expense!!!!

Such a low price is likely to be deemed an obvious error, and therefore legally unenforceable. Furthermore, the t&c's may contain an errors and omissions excluded clause, which will again allow them to cancel without further redress available to you.
Have you checked the t&c's?Gone ... or have I?0 -
t&c's state nothing.... the accomodation was booked with charter flights, so a total amount was fully paid.0

take screen prints and argue your case, if they know it is wrong why is it still on there? altho what dmg says is right, eg you could not argue to get a flight to america for 1p. also you could call you local trading standarsd and ask themMSE convert, trying to save the pennies!:T Darling Z born 03/06 and Darling M born 03/09. Did you get a booking ref for your original deal? If so i would think they would have to honour it.
Good luck0 -
