New Contract On DMP
Good afternoon all, I hope this is the right place to post, it was a choice between here and the Debt Free Wannabe board!!
I have moved to an area with very poor mobile phone reception on T-mobile. The only one that seems to be any good in my area is O2. The problem is that as I am on a DMP to repay my creditors I think it is very unlikely that I would get a new contract with O2 when my current deal with T-mobile runs out. There are no mobile phone defaults on my credit file but obviously there are for CC and banks.
My questions to you guys are:
1. How thourough are the mobile companies credit checks? is it likely I would be knocked back straight away
2. Would it be possible to get a new deal whilst still on a DMP?
Any info would be most welcome!!
Cheers
Leah

when you enter a dmp you enter into an agreement not to take on any new debt. As such a mobile phone contract is exactly that. As i understand it your options are either to upgrade with your current supplier when your contract expires or take a payg. Alternatively call the dmp and ask!!0
