I parked up in a metered bay at purchased a ticket in Barnet. The expiry on the ticket was 16:36. I ran back to the car to find a PCN ticket (observed from 16:40 to 16:42, with it being issued at 16:42)

Code 05 -Parked after the expiry pf paid for time

Really fustrated and annoyed but understand it is my mistake. Try to think were they have gone wrong.....Are there any grounds for appeal?

Thanks in advance..

Please find ticket and fine (front and back) images below:

not quite sure why you are frustrated and annoyed. the paid for period ended at 16:36, and the ticket was issued at 16:42. if you did not want the ticket you should have gone back before 16:36.

Think the OP is frustrated and annoyed with him/herself and if you cant post something helpful, dont bother.

Only ever had one parking ticket in my life, parked in the same place for years at lunchitme on the market place, one day i forgot to put my free one hour clock on the dashboard.
There was tears, anger, could have stood on one leg and kicked myself with the other. No one elso to blame which made it even more frustrating.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and yes, it was pre MSE days but i learnt not to do it again. I can even laugh about it.
    regards

So where the PCN (is it legally compliant incidentally?) says it was issued at 16.42 - your crystal ball is telling you what the actual time was is it?

and where the P&D ticket expires at 16.36 your crystal ball also knows what the time was at the point of issue?

you also know that the CEO followed correct procedure and calibrated his HHC to the P&D machine at the time or sometime nearly previous to issue?

Amazing, I must get one of those!

One of a long line of people who think that potentially wrongly issued PCns should automatically be accepted and payed - just because YOU were stupid enough without looking at the possibilities.

you're quite right. Funny indeed. Please per-leeeeze tell me which Council you donated your hard earned to - so I have the possibility of an even bigger laugh!

It was your mistake so why not take some responsibility and pay for it?
