Best value for money restaurants

Options
I find Harvester and Nandos the best value for money:

Harvester - Free unlimited salad and early bird menu before 6.30 PM 7 days a week gives you a third off the standard prices for main course.

Nandos - Love the way you can pick your spice on the chicken, go hot and take advantage of free soft drink despensor re-fills.

Any other great value for money places out there?

Is it me or does anyone else get a bit concerned about these all you can eat salad bars at Harvesters and the like? I always think of all the people using their hands and coiughing and spluttering all over them! Especially with all this swine flu about!!

Cosmo's £6.50 buffet lunch is hard to argue with. Not the greatest, but good value. I'd hope the (more expensive) evening sitting would offer more choice, though. Restaurants around the UK: http://www.cosmo-restaurant.com

Toby Carveries - Mon - Sat from lunchtime until 7.00 pm a carvery meal with choice of ham, beef and turkey (or all three) with a Yorkshire Pud and as many veg as you can eat for £5. Excellent value.

I really second that we've been there twice since we realised this value and have been impressed by the food and the amount you get... add £1 to the meal and you have a choice of ice cream or tea/coffee... Cheap and healthy! V. recommended!

I agree with Toby Carvery , I work out and about and love to find a Toby for a bargain lunch. There was a few vouchers kicking about online for a free ice cream or tea & coffee, although I tihnk they are now finished.

I do like Nandos altohugh I do find it a bit pricey for a lunch ( workday) and more of a treat, it has recently gone up. However, we do have a loyalty card & next time we go we get the free whole chicken :j
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Harvester is great value, I second (or third) that, I went on saturday, £4.99 for spit-roatst chicken and as much salad as you can eat. The salad is really good too, fresh bread rolls and I just adore their 'red devil' sauce. I had a coupon for free sundae ice creams as well, they are often found in the newspapers.
It has to be noted though that these places make a lot on drinks; £2 for a J2O for my son, and you can't not have a drink....

Tesco clubcard deals on Bella Italia, Cafe Rouge, Pizza Express etc. Cannot be beaten. I always say it's a shame they are not accepted at local indian restaurants as they're by far my favourite.

free salad bar for starter (rolls are lovely)
early bird 4.99 (we don't bother with kids meals, much smaller and only £1 less)
