Right,
I have actually read the rest of chat
questions/comments on the days chat
1. How is Jas? any better?
2. How did Beanie's son's exam go?
3. Snags why on earth didn't the bloody stupid school get Ryan statemented? that is bonkers to tell you all that nonsense about he is n't bad enough - either he is diagnosed or not they act on the diagnosis not his behaviour. It simply doesn't make any sense!
you know what Kayleigh said about how she shared a LSA? - well in our place we kill ourselves to get kids statements - educational pscologists (I can't spell it at all sorry too mad) assessments here there and every freaking where - it means money for the kid - say half an LSA? or so many hours or what ever.
so you get your LSA - she does say six hours with kid X kid Y sits next to kid X and also benefits, kid X and his buddy are all good learning away, also LSA does a lunch time club = loads of happy kids and extra reading, Lsa gets extra training and we give her more hours, also LSA gets cleared to go on school trips = happy kids. happy LSA.
its not that bloody difficult for GOD sake its their FREAKING JOB. Not only that but if he comes with a statement from Primary it will mean he is flagged up at secondary school - I mean he might not need it then but that is the great thing - he can come off the SEN register really easily its the getting on there in the first place that is the hard part.
I can't understand why they wouldn't want more money? it doesn't come from their school budget it is a central fund. and you definitely should have had a phone call explaining why the letter hasn't arrived.
At my place a boy with Asbergers was excluded for hitting the LSA he worked with - yes his mum went mad at us but it is school rules so it was tough cookies in that case (sorry if that sounds harsh but we have such a strict non violence policy(which has made the school a different place) and it happened in front of a class poor woman he did hurt her ) However because he repeats what he hears if he swears he is asked not to but not written up for it cos he has no idea what he is saying.
I just don't see the logic in Ryan not being excludedfor hitting some one and yet Swearing he is excluded for????????????????????????? MaddnessNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Sammy, do you know of anywhere to stay near the park I'm doing RFL at?
'Someone' suggested The Swan, but I didn't book it because I wasn't sure if I could trust him to tell me somewhere nearby, or whether he would purposely suggest somewhere miles away just in case I bumped into anyone he knows.
You can stay at mine....unless you don't want to:DQuality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

My dad is almost 100% on the spectrum, we know he has fragile x syndrome, he must have because mum was tested and I didn't get it from her. My father has no idea how to interact with people, he is amazingly intelligent to the point of genius and he has used his intelligence to enable him to be the MD of some pretty big corporations. But, his understanding of emotions is almost 0, his people skills are in the minus catagory
