Orange upgrade question

Hi i upgraded my orange contract around this time last year (i think) details are hazy!.

Pretty sure i signed up for a 18 month contract. My orange account online is offering me an upgrade and saying it will renew my contract till nov 2010 which obviously would be 18 months.

So am i due an upgrade or what? it seems a little early for an upgrade to me? If so would i also be due an upgrade from a third party company eg phones4u/dialaphone? Or just orange? If so, do they generally offer the same deals on upgrades as new deals? Eg. the free gift deals. Also the quidco thing with dialaphone.. does that work with upgrades or just new contracts?

I know upgrades are usually offerd within the last 2 months or something? But bit confused why the orange website is offering me an upgrade 6 months early(i think).

how would anyone here know what contract you're on. it;d be much easier if u rang 150 and asked customer services

i wasnt asking anyone what contract im on. I was wondering if anyone knew if i was actualy due an upgrade based on the fact that the orange website is offering me one. And if that also applies to third party companies, and a bunch of other quesitons.

well this is funny... i called 150 and apparently ive been out of contract since 2008.... even though i definatly did an upgrade last year.. i told them i did an upgrade and all he could realy say was that i was out of contract since 2008 and its showing that im due an upgrade .

Well if that's what they're showing put the 'upgrade' talk on the back burner and go for a retention deal instead. What tariff are you on?

Im on dolphin 35 but with unlimited free data (fup 1gb or somethin). Whatever phone i get ill be selling it on ebay anyway as i have an iphone.
To be honest im pretty sure the upgrade will fail as i upgraded with phones4u a year ago for 18 months but orange arent showing it.

no not atall. Basically i upgraded my orange contract via phones 4u 1 year ago, kept my number, got a new phone, no problems atall. This was a 18 month contract. But orange say there was no upgrade, and that ive been out of contract since 2008.
Do you think i should proceed and speak to retentions until they realise there mistake and refuse to give me one, or not.

Ps i actualy changed my contract since then, i was on racoon or something but i doubt it effects anything, orange were doing an offer for new customers which was unlimited data on dolphin, so i called them and they changed my deal over to this deal as it was the same price per month. So i dont think that would effect anything thats happened.

i rung orange retentions. made a mistake of explaining i did an upgrade. The guy then found my upgrade on the account, but said he can still upgrade me cos somebody has screwed the system up. And then he tried to sell me a load of crap offers as he knew i was getting off early so i think he thought id be happy to get what i could and basically offerd me a load of bs offers. Tried to get more but he wouldnt do it so think ill try again in a week or so. wouldnt give me any of the good phones free i think it was because he knew i was getting off early so thought he could get away with offering me some crap deals.

You can upgrade with most companies 2-6 months before the contract is due to expire, depending on whether it is a 12, 18 or 24 month period lock-in. It seems that is all Orange have done here.

no its not. My account says out of contract since 2008. But there is an upgrade date on my account list. But somebody didnt add it to the account correctly and therefore im out of contract on the system. Since 2008.
