What are they made of? What happens if you tumble dry them. Are they worth buying?

They are like a pillow case, with a plastic bag interior, and a drawstring closure. I regularly make bread (by hand, no machine cheating here!!!) so I get a lot of use from it. They're about £6, and worth it in my humble opinion.

However, if you pop them in a condenser washer/drier, the plastic liner kind of shrinks and goes crinkly - like when you put a crisp packet under the grill (*flash back to making key rings as small person!*). Serves me right for not paying attention!

Having described it, I may try making my own from a pillowcase and a carrier, before forking out for a new one!! I still love LL though!!

Sorry to hear about your MIL - it sounds like a stressful time for the whole family. Cyprus sounds like a good decision, and I hope everything goes well xxx

irie but what about the stop breathing?!?!!?!? isn't that medical reason enough?!
maybe try making him sleep on the side? with a pillow to support his back?? - but i am sure you've tried it all already
what on earth are you doing up at 4am!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Not unless its affecting his blood oxygen levels it seems. He’s waking before it’s a problem. The adenoids are out but it’s not stopped. Maybe with time as he heals or when his tonsils go back to normal it’ll improve. I am hoping.

At the mo I am so behind on everything that I have been putting the hrs in to catch up. I work fulltime days and DH does full time nights so I am on my own quite a lot with the LOs as is DH.
With DD just starting walking I have been getting less and less done before their bedtime as I have been watching them closer. I tend to do House Work until about 10/11pm then work work until about 1/2 and if I come on here for an hr or so catch up then I am going to bed around 3. If there is anything extra to be done or LOs are not well and wake frequently then that bedtime gets pushed about. Recently I try one day a week to get a by midnight bedtime and if I can squeeze it in I try to get an hr or 2 unbroken sleep on sat or sun while DH looks after the LOs. During the week DH gets 1 hr sleep in the morning before I need to get to work then 3-4 hrs before he has to be off to work himself. Any thing I want to do for myself impinges on my bedtime so I have to choose carefully. Last week I walked home 3 or 4 days so fitted HHE in but it meant things got pushed back a bit.

Recently DS’s op meant 2 days sitting about in hos so stuff piled up. Then yr 8 exams 1set x3 papers to mark in time for reports due yesterday so more things piled up. I have also had yr 10 mocks 2 sets x 3 exams (not yet marked) then their reports are due 1st wk in june. This coming week I will have yr 7 exams 1 set x3 papers to mark for their reports due 3 wk june I think. All this on top of normal stuff. So if I don’t want lots piling up I stay up and get it done. It’s a toss up between sleep and living in a landfill most times.

TBH I don’t really want my LOs to only know the back of my knees so I don’t mind doing the house work after their bedtime. Today I walked home and DH walked LO towards our local park and I spent HH with DS on the slides. He loved it. Consequence he was over tired by time dinner was ready 530 and was in bed by 6pm so will probable be awake before 6am tom. I should get to bed now.

The fact that I am rubbish at time management and I’m naturally disorganised don’t help my bedtime any.
Irie, where do you live? County will do if you don't want to be specific. Also, why were you posting in the wee small hours?
    I am in Surrey.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

Hello. Hugs and best wishes to all those in need.

I've had a great couple of days. DS2 came home for a mates 21st - he was only here two nights, we hardly saw him, but you could tell he was in the house again . . . it was great!! Dropped him off at bus station a couple of hours ago and he's currently on his way back to the big smoke :(

On Wednesday we found mouse poo in the pantry and the cupboard under the sink and I got the mouse traps from work. Thursday morning found one dead mouse and haven't caught any more since. Hoping that was the only one.

So today I pulled everything out of the pantry and under sink cupboard and have cleaned, tossed, sorted and put back. It's taken about two hours so far and I'm nearly finished. Have also taken shelves out of laundry cupboard and put in hallway cupboard to make a stockpile centre. It's a nice dark place to put extra tins, bottles etc, that I pick up on special, and also my preserves are in there now too. I must say I'm rather pleased with it.

Put different shelves in laundry cupboard and cleaned and sorted that, too. Didn't take long as I'd done it not too long ago.

I now have bits and pieces I need to use up, so will bake a few things while I'm cooking tea.

    Also:

Two loads washing on the line
    Weekly menu done
    Groceries bought

Best get back to it - have a great weekend everyone.

    Morning all.

Had a disturbed night. Woke up at 5am. There were foxes calling and rain pouring down. Lay there for an hour then nodded off to sleep. Then when the alarm went off I was in a really deep sleep so I'm all groggy now!

Just about to jump in the bath and see'f that helps with the wake up process!

    Morning everyone,

Hope you have a lovely holiday Soappie.

Thank you for the kind thoughts about my exams, my 2 main ones are over so i'm much less stressed now:D Did calculus on thursday and statistics yesterday and i think *fingers crossed* they both went ok. Have finance and financial reporting on thursday but that is my elective and after coursework is taken into consideration i only need another 12% from the exam to pass the module:p

Hope all the ill people are somewhat on the mend, lots of rest for you lot!

Working later, so i hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
