PIGPEN or anyone else who can help............
Sorry not much flying done this week, but I can explain.......

DD has been at the hospital.....her eczema ect
Consultants are talking about supressing her immune system!!! meaning regular blood tests.......WHY????
They just said another 4 weeks of antibiotics......4 weeks of system adjusting and next step (if it doesnt help) is medication to supress the immune system...I am a tad distracted here:( any help would be appreciated I singled out pigpen as I know that she is doing a course in something to do with medicine!!!!!

Sounds the same as my friends DS had. He has terrible eczema and went on immune supressants and had to have regular blood tests which I think the blood tests were to check liver function? Can't remember exactly though. Will have to ask her for you. He is a lot better now than he used to be and he isn't on the immune supressants anymore but I think I remember her saying that he had to go for periodic scans to make sure everything is ok and as he was on the immune supressants he did get the flu jab every year. Will have to ask her for sure as I don't want to give you the wrong information. Will hopefully see her at school tomorrow so will ask her then. If not I'll ask her early next week. HTH. x

Pasta, pesto, salmon, green beans all consumed, now its time to bath the girls. Might multi task and clean the toilet, sink and floor while they're playing.

    See you later. x

It could be that they think it is an immune system response to something else.. like an allergy which they haven't checked for. If they suppress the immune system and it clears up it is likely an allergic reaction to something else.

Check out the issues with immune suppression though.. before making any decisions and make sure you ask the million questions.. why they think it necessary.. what they hope to see.. worst case scenario what will happen.. etc etc etc.... Never agree to anything without having all the info.

I'd ring the consultant and ask why they want to do this though it is pretty extreme... I am aware her eczema is too..

Some flying done, but not much - been on the phone most of the afternoon! I managed to clear up my craft/painting/sewing area, which was reeeeeaallly bad!! Washing dried and folded (sorry, Valli, can't face the ironing yet! I will set aside a day at the weekend to tackle it.....)

Hex, Sorry sweetie, I've cleared my in-box now - I didn't realise it was full!!!

Re the job situation, I came to the realisation that I am upset because it is something that I cannot control. So, I'm going to (sing along with me!!!.......)

Pick myself up, dust myself down, and .........start all over again!!!

      sneaks in...

Sorry not been about today, had a busy morning and DH came home early with a headache, so he's been hogging the laptop playing games. I've just wrenched it out of his hands!

I'm terribly tired this evening and am getting a headache, so going to take it easy and catch up with the thread.

Today I've done general tidying, tidied up floordrobe, and cleared a lot of stuff that was on the sofa

      ...sneaks off to read thread
