  • Soapie Tuesday - Living Pit, Hallway & Stairs

    All 3 levels DONE:j

Soapie - Please may I have another star

I am feeling very pleased with myself as I have a stinking cold and really didn't feel like doing anything. However, the thought of having to play catch if I didn't do it made me get on with it.

DH has been a star and done all the shopping:T

I hope Pigpen and Toots recover soon.

    Thanks for the lists Soapie.

I can't believe you managed to lose both Pigpen AND Toots while I was at work today  How careless of you all

(((hugs))) and healing vibes for both of them (although I'm sure piggers will be trying to avoid all the hugs being sent her way... she's probably redirecting them as I type :p)

Somehow I'm not surprised to see soappie taking charge in a crisis ;). It's a good thing she didn't need to go to work today - clearly you all need someone to keep you in order :D

jo - well done on staying calm and rational. Don't rush into any decisions. You can take your time and be absolutely sure when you feel it's time to make your mind up.

I managed to fit in a decent swim this morning, but had a pretty hectic day at work. I finally sat down to write some slides for Thursday's senior management meeting, only to get an email from my boss (who was supposed to talk to his boss and get the slides into the pack) announcing that he was off until next week. He hadn't bothered to give me a deadline, so I'm wondering whether he was going to hope the issue wouldn't get on the agenda (he should have sorted that side of things out while I was away), or thought that he'd be able to tell me off for not doing the work. Anyway, I've done the slides, one of the other managers is checking them for me, and then I can send them through tomorrow.

I suppose I should find my list and see how I'm getting on. One of the few benefits of leaving everything until the weekend is that the next week tends to be manageable :o

My plans for today were definitely too ambitious. I thought I'd finish getting the baby photo album sorted out, seeing as it was all over the floor anyway, and it's taken me all day! Nearly there now, just one page to go. Not much else achieved though, but never mind. It needed doing :)

~hugs~ to toots and pigpen. Look after yourselves and don't worry about us. You can trust us not to get up to any mischief without you :A.

Just been speaking to DH on his school trip. When he eats an apple he always breaks it in half with his hands, and the children noticed this and are all in awe of him! So he's just had them all queuing up to arm wrestle him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:He beat them all, so then he had to arm wrestle 6 at once - and they nearly dislocated his elbow (exaggeration I'm sure) :rotfl:He's missed his vocation - he really should be working with young people, he has such a rapport with them. They are all saying he's 'really cool'. I bet DSs street cred has gone up with his friends :rotfl:

Anyway I'm off to bed now and will do the bathrooms and the lounge tomorrow. CBA tonight to do anything (oh, apart from wiping the brown stuff off the loo seat - DS2 has just been practising wiping her own bottom!)
