It's funny you ask because there's another thread with someone asking if it's OK to view houses when they haven't found a buyer for theirs. There are a reasonable number of people that think a vendor should find a buyer before they go looking at houses let alone making offers. Personally I'm looking for our new home but our house will be going on the market in the next week and if we find a buyer before a house then great.

Unfortunately you're a victim of the market. Constantly posting negative stuff on here is not going to speed your buying chances up. I hate it when people who have no idea about the op's circumstances post negative rubbish because it suits them. Have a day off.

'A victim of the market' yes, I guess your right. Prices will return to a sustainable average whatever me, you or anybody else says here. I was letting OP know that she was being played by the EA which has nothing to do with vested interest and you failed to tell her that because you actually only 'talk up' a falling market in any of your threads and posts and obviously don't care about anybody else who gets trapped. I replied to the first post, she can take it or leave it. I appologise for not reading the entire history of the OP's postings on this forum and to not have a better background evaluation. This is a money saving site, not keep mr.brodericks retirement cash cow going to fund his five holidays a year to Llandudno going. Have a day off.

You seem to be giving me quite a bit of attention, but I must stop you there. I'm not that way inclined. ;)

Thanks guys for all the comments, even the sarcastic ones!

I'm not an idiot and I know the EA's most likely have whispered a few words in the vendors ears. We wouldn't pay more than £195,000 for it, so we haven't.

Anywho, I won't be spending any money until the vendors have found a place, we'll definitely keep in touch regularly.

My mortgage broker has been working really well with us and we have everything ready to go. To be honest I'd prefer if we didn't actually move till mid July if possible, as the kids will be off shortly after and we'll have a bit more free time to sort things out, but we'll be happy whenever it takes place! :D

If the vendors really want to sell, they will have to stump up if they haven't a place to go to in my opinion. You should only put the offer and have contracts drawn up with a date set. We had to once get a bridging loan and another time move into rented for a few months in order to complete the sale of a house. The buyers had done their bit so we had to move out. Fair I think.

They haven't gone to a sustainable average where I live in Devon, and the sold signs are very evident of late around the villages! Supply, demand and location location location still count, and buyers need to keep this in mind.

I know you're illiterate so do you know what it means? Presumably not because if you did you'd know I'm not a tyre kicker.

Yes, I'm aware houses are selling more this spring than they have for months Geenie. My reply was specific to the details given in the op's first post not about the housing market.

Read the original post. It is all about the housing market and what a property will sell for, or did I miss the prices being quoted?! ;) Get off your high horse Tommy75, and smell the rapeseed. There is enough of it around at present and it gives me gip!
