I've just bought a Kenwood Chef as found my magimix couldn't make bread as well as I'd hoped - the option is there to buy a potato skin remover gizmo which is v tempting - I'd be interested to know if anyone thinks it's any good. Funnily enough i use my Magimix more now I've got the Kenwood chef - I find it great for banana loaf which I've just discoverd - yum!0

I have a magimix that my nan gave me as she hardly used it. I did buy a cheap stick blender thing too but hardly use that, just manage to make a mess with it and it's not very effective!
I use my magimix most often to
- to make cake mixes
- blend soups
- make breadcrumbs
- mince up chicken for homemade chicken kievs
I plan to use it more after the big house move and lifestyle change to more OS! I have made houmous in it before and a few other one-offs.
When people make coleslaw and chopping onions etc, are they just throwing them in the main bit of the blender and whizzing slowly, or are you feeding it in through the top 'spouty' thing bit at a time? My problem is I've lost the plastic bit that goes inside the spouty thing to push stuff down........if that makes any sense at all!!0 -
tbh i dont use my food processor anywhere near as much as i should do, its only a basic model and has a habbit of starting to whiff a bit after a few mins use (motor cannot be that good)
mine is used for cakes and creaming the butter suger for biscuits, ive stopped whizzing up food for Owen as he is almost 11 months oldDFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010

I've been having a look through a couple of books and as we've run out of mayo in our house thought I'd give it a go - I tried it years ago with a hand whisk and it was an unmitigated disaster - but have just - in about 2 mins made lovely yummy HM mayo in my food processor - will def make again - so another use for it!0

I use it to make nut curry pastes, chop veggies, make soups, pastry, cakes. Loads of things really.
And the blender attachment to make smoothies.
I only got in January for a birthday present. My h2b knows me so well. I am a complete kitchen gadget junky!0 -
When I got divorced my ex kept the mixer so was chuffed to bits when a friend of my Mums gave me one she had won in a raffle.
I use it to mince up all my ingredients to make chutney and also use when making peanut satay sauce from scratch. This since xmas so reckon there will be some other uses for it in the future.0 -
I use mine for making baby food, sauces and garlic/chive mayonnaise0

Hi,
I have nearly every gadget for the kenwood chef, so ask away. The potato peeler, is excellent for small new potatoes, and ideal when making potato salad. It does them that well they look like they have come from a tin. You can use this for veg too, and it is great for carrots.
My latest purchase was a splash guard, WOWOWOWOWOWOW It's great, I now wont have a pebble dashed kitchen anymore.
I use my chef every week, and I love it. I purchased this from a car boot and every gadget has been from ebay.
I love to make my own butter, which takes about 7 mins to do and very very simple. I have not bought any butter since Feb.
Today I will be making a smoothie and taking all the pips out using the sieve attachment.
I have never used my chef for bread, as I use a bread maker for that.
I make my own sausages with the mincer, although one of the only attachments I have not got is the sausage maker, as the sausage skins really are a visual put off for me. So I make skinless ones.
I use my K beater for cake mix, and any mixture that is stiff. The whisk I use for cream etc., and lighter type cakes. Egg whites are fab with the whisk.0
