Went to Aldi this a.m. and bought a Tevion 19" Digital tv/dvd player
Seems to be all singing and all dancing according to brochure.
Built in Freeview etc.
Plugged it in and after automatic tuning found all channels.
However the picture in terrible, and keeps breaking up. At first we thought it was a faulty socket in the tv as when wiggled about it seemed to be better. We even tried a different lead which again seemed better but the minute the tv was touched it started again. I took it back and exchanged it, guess what, still the same!
We have tried it in other rooms where other tv's are working fine. We had bought this to replace a 15" flatscreen tv with built in freeview and that works fine in the same plug, socket etc.
I can't believe it's another faulty one, yet BBC1 and 2 are fine?
Any theories before it goes back yet again?

Poor signal, an amp might cure it.0

Indeed, the TV isn't faulty, it just has a less sensetive tuner than your old one, the problem is with your aerial.0

Put another aerial lead in, not the latest preformed ones but one where you add the ends on yourself, is it called a co-axel, anyway that is working fine now, how strange.0

Good news, glad you are sorted.:T0
