    Wake up.

Sound unbeleiveable to you does it? ......thats why you'll never make it in business, if you think walking away from a business venture after three years with 50 grand is "unbeleivable" you have no idea.

i can point you in the direction of 3 or 4 ebayers who are still at it that have made a million from it in the UK alone, i can point you to several more who make in excess of £100,000 anually.

i can also show you an amzon seller who sells books that has gone from start up with ten grand to a business with a £80million a year turnover in 7 years.

The differance between entreprenures and people like you is that "it can't be done" mentality, if you beleive it can't be done then you won't do it.

Making a grand a week might sound unbeleivable to you but i wasn't even in the top 1,000 ebay earners. Frankly if youre selling on ebay as a full time business and you can't make a grand a week there is something wrong with either your product, or you.

That's why the fees are lower, you save a fortune on post and packing as well :T

I voluntarily gave a discount of £3 at the start taking his postage down to £7.50. Realistically I was taking the p a bit seeing as it only cost £2 to send the lot, so I discounted it further meaning that he paid £4 for the postage which I thought seemed fair enough. I think I would feel bitter if everyone that had bought from me wanted the exact money back, it's the principle really, it takes your power away I think, that and the fact that they've agreed to pay that price.
However how am I actually gaining from one person buying multiple items? Surely everyone looks to make money on the postage.I would be making more money by selling to different people.
But if the shoe was on the other foot I'm sure I would be complaining too.

If he didn't agree to the postage cost, he shouldn't have bought it.
I always check how much postage is being charged. If I want more then 1 of the item, I ask a question BEFORE I buy.
Just yesterday I was comparing the same product from few sellers before making decision which one I buy from. I don't care how much is postage. I care how much it's the whole cost of item. And postage is part of the cost to me.

I recently started offering free postage on all my buy it now auctions, sales have gone up quite a bit and I'm actually charging quite a bit more for my items than I was before. People on ebay really begrudge paying postage, any postage.

Though I've still had a few ebayers asking for a postage discount on free postage :rotfl:

ebay place items with freepostage higher up the searches cos they get more fees from them but if you are aware of this then just make sure tyhe fees (final value and postage costs)are covered in your total price.

ive seen people asking fr discounts on free postage as well. i just tell them its half price on every item. lol
