    Hi all
Made not only myself a Christmas folder, but also made them for my 2 best friends as well!
Have divided it into 6 key sections, they are: -
    Presents lists
    Christmas card lists
Calender (from Sept - Dec, so we can pre-plan when to do things like baking christmas cakes (I've got 5 to make this year!), wrapping presents, nights out etc.
    Christmas food shopping list
Menu for over the Christmas and new year period
    Receipes

Have made the templates up for each section on the computer - so in theory can moce all the pages from this years folder to the back and start again a fresh next year with what I've done this year kept as reference!

Now all I need to do is be brave (and have a speare weekend) so get all the stuff I've bought since last Christmas out from under the bed and out of all the cupbaords so that I can work out who I'm giving what!

Phew - only 222 days to go!

That sounds like a good list of things to have in a folder! I might have to do something like that too with my folders. Thanks for the idea! Hope you dont mind me borrowing it?

MrsGibbs NO WAY!! that is so brilliant!! What kind of a cross stitch picture was it? Talk about determination and hard work.. WELL DONE xx I bet you feel brilliant today and don't want to see another cross stitch as long as you live lol

Nah, I love doing x stitch.;) I've heaps of projects on the go!
This one was a design that said "to have and to hold" with their names and date of the wedding on it.
I'm still deciding....card or frame it??

Hi all, would you mind if I joined in this fantastic thread? I love christmas and it's soooooooooo nice knowing there are others out there!! OH loves xmas but much closer to the time!!!

Sadly last year my 8 year old brother passed away 3 weeks before xmas so it was all a bit of a blur and even though we tried to put on brave face for my lo who was 3 it didn't feel like xmas. so this year I am going all out to do the little things that make it feel like xmas. Me and lo are making boxes for charity and my Oh has raised £300 for childrens hospital. he is hoping to raise some more to donate xmas presents.

Has anyone been to Thomas land at xmas as lo it thomas mad?

And can I just add that everyone is so friendly on this thread and it has been lots of fun reading back x x
  • Hi girls

Really sorry have been slightly awol. These past few days have been a rollercoaster for me.
Sat: Went to Canterbury was okay brought a new bag.;) Dad made me drive home with him and my brother, i hated every minute in the car with him he panicked me and upset me so much that i nearly drove into a round-a-bout. I got home and both of them were laughing at me, I jumped out of the car while he parked it on the drive, i was shaking so much, i was so shocked i just ran upstairs crying.
That night I vowed never to drive again, especially not with my dad in the car. Mum convinced me to carry on with my driving lessons with a professional and said she would never let me drive a car with him in it ever again.
When i had calmed down we sat in the front room and watched Twilight(for the first time), i have never smiled through a film so much and have never had a monsterous crush on any celeb before Robert Pattinson. OH MY GOD is he GORGEOUS in that film!!:D Am going to order the books as i want to read it so much
Me and Dave stayed up we watched CSI and then we both went to bed. I felt really down because of the days events i spoke to mum and told her how i felt about practically everything. She told me to tell my OH, my dad and everyone about how i feel. Dad never booked the flights as he hasn't got his money until August.
Sun: Plucked up the courage to talk to OH today, we laughed and we cried and finally got things sorted. Dad has got a giant abcess his face looks huge! But won't go to hosp or dentist. Went for Sunday lunch at nan's, got back and watched Twilight again has made me decide to strip my hair back to its natural colour (pretty much black). Had a good day but there's always this emptyness when my dad leaves and mum has had enough of me looking miserable and her being miserable so has emailed him to say how she feels. No response, but have a feeling it will all blow up again and we will be worse than ever. Also found out today dog has eaten one of my ebay items and can't send it so i've refunded they money. He is such a sod!!
Some buyer is being such an ar$$ and being impatient with why the items aren't with her  Our post office has been closed for a week, not too sure why, but have said they will open on monday so i will send it then. Let's hope she realises people have lives and can't help what others choose to do :D;)
OMG i've wrote so much and i need to add, i will do a new post :D
    ..xx
I am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A

    Hi miss minx
Come in and join the festivities
Mel has been to Thomas Land and loves it so she would know all about it. :TWell done to you and your OH for charity happenings:T What did your OH do to raise money, me and OH want to do a bike ride for charity (from Folkestone to London or something along them lines) but not sure how to go about it.
I am really sorry about your brother, my OH's stepdad died on Christmas Eve 4 years ago, he was so nice, the family have not recorvered and his mum hates christmas. Before she used to be an all out christmas nutter, but thankfully she is getting better :D

    Morning everyone

Miss Minx welcome to our thread, im so sorry to hear about your brother. Well done on all your fundraising though thats great. Like Jordan and Mhags have said Mel is a big fan of Thomas Land so she'll be able to fill you in.

Jordan - Sorry to hear what your dad was like with you in the car, when I first past my test and got my car my dad was like that, only had the car a day and vowed never to drive again. Luckily I didnt stick with that vow, so please dont give up on driving, its the best feeling in the world when you pass your test.

Well today I am packing my suitcase cos I am off on my jollys tomorrow, will pop back in in a little while.

    Stay classy ladies ;) x x x

JS - know EXACTLY what you mean about dad and driving lessons - I had one lesson with him and it ended in tears ....I am still nervous when he is in the car and I passed my test (1st time) 20 years ago!!
(((((()))))) HUGS to all who need them and miss minx - you are right - everyone is friendly on here..... it restores that warm fuzzy feeling !

Shevs - where are you 'jollying' off to?

Need to sort out house today - DS was under the furniture looking for cars and said "Look mummy ....clouds" - great big ball of dust like tumbleweed!!! NICE!
Then I can start to do my Rudolph Day Challenge!! Yay!
Will get around to filling in the Chrimbo memories when I have longer ....if only there were more hours in the day and we had an endless supply of energy !! Hey Ho!!

Wahoooo Jordanshannon - another twilight rob pattinson fan here too - isn't he gorge - the books are fab so def. get them (I got buy one get one free in waterstones but I think I seen them cheaper in Tesco after that) - and the bonus is when you've watched the film first that you get to imagine roberts face while you read (through all 4 books). Mel is a huge fan too - she was the one who suggested I read the books and so glad I did.

Anyways - on the subject of christmas - bidding on a few purses on ebay but people are outbidding me - so not cheap anymore (poops). I really need to make some headway on buying so I have little to do later on.

Reminder to myself for christmas 2009:
All made items: Cut off date of Aug 31st
    All presents bought: Sep 15th
    All presents wrapped: Oct 15th
    Baby arrives: Nov 11th
(Big grand plan clean up and cook off - Sep 1st-Oct 31st)
May tweak these dates later on.
