Hello all I have just found this thread.
I was out with some friends today with my LO and I mentioned that I have bought some christmas pressies and was looking at a bike for my DS and they said ''OMG Christmas be real'' so I am now too scared to tell them how much I do really have for christmas already.

I had a bargin and a half last weekend. We went to a local hospice's charity open day. They get donated a lot of things from department stores that were last years stock that they can sell. Well I bought 2 jasper conran hand bags 2 marks and spencers and 3 gold clutch purses from debenhams all were leather and all had labels it cam to£32 not bad eh?

Those of you are organised can you help me. I have seen a bike for my DS who will be 3 (4 days before xmas - the best xmas pressie ever) at the mo it is half price in halfords. Is it worth getting it now or waiting til later on. I am thinking that they won't have a bike sale before christmas what shall i do it is £45 at the mo?

lol! I don't think it is competitiveness, that would be a bit daft!!! Just sometimes threads get SO busy, that they don't work. It certainly didn't work for me in the weeks before Mel and I split our other thread, too many people, too many pages, lots of important stuff was missing, so the split was made. Usually the person who starts the thread keeps it going, which isn't always the case for whatever reason.

hey wendy! you dont have to hide your xmassness here!! :) WOW what great bargains you got at the charity sale!! great that the money goes somewhere good! How much is the bike usually??

Jammy I've seen lots of daft stuff going on mse... Anyhoo, each to their own.
I miss when Mel and you were doing it all together, I do get your point but I ain't happy. It's just not the same x-massy madness and fun anymore. whatever.
Nice to see you here, I haven't seen so many of the old faces here for ages like you, js, hayley, shevs... Can we have some fun again? ;-) Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. :-) :rudolf: :xmassmile :snow_laug :santa2: Ooohh and, where is the x-mas tree icon???

Oooohh and, any codes going for Cath Kidston by any chance? Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp. :rotfl:

not sure what to say Wendy - that is a cute bike though! I will ask my OH about Halfords sales as he used to work in one of the shops :)

Aurora - no daft stuff going on here no siree! i have been keeping an eye on this thread but havent had chance to post, then everyone got christmas nostalgic so I had to chip in LOL! sorry you are sad! have u checked hotukdeals for a code?

ETA: I think the general problem with this thread is that now that the first post cant be edited (as Mel has gone) it is harder for newbies to join in the challenges and have to sift through pages of the chat to find anything, which is really offputting (I hate joining long threads). Im not adverse to the threads re-joining to stop any confusion, just as long as the different parts of ORGANISED and MONEY MAKING could both be represented, something which I feel wasnt happening!

Aurora I am sorry you feel really confused and lost by it all but this is the busiest and most popular this thread has been for weeks and weeks with all this discussion so I think it is a good thing! It seems obvious to me that you are really missing Mel and that is fine but she has decided to leave and we all have to move on.
The christmas thread will not be the same as last year as things are different and we have different people here now and some are not here now! I just think I personally would love a christmassy thread where that is what we are talking about and i am happy to join up with the newly created one if this one is gonna stay the same ie a general one but I feel I know lots of you here so would be great to create a new thread. Also as Mel has now left she is unable to update the first pages and keep things going from that point of view so it makes sense to start a new thread with someone who can continue to keep us all motivated and updated as Mel did previously.

I hope that all makes sense and I just want a Christmassy thread!!! That is dedicated to CHristmas as it is my fav time of year!

Ohhh that bike is so cute, what a shame it has gone up in price. Are there no discount codes knocking about that would bring the price down a bit?

Well done on your other bargins, and welcome
