Hi all,
I haven't had time to do anything Rudolphish lately although today I started a making a windowsill pot pourri jar although not sure if this will work or not as in the original instructions it never mentioned whether the lid was supposed to be on or off.
I've also found other recipes where you dry flowers on newspapers on the windowsill and add specific herbs which I'll also try. I spotted it on Thrifty fun and it seems that a lot of people make these and sell them.
There were other mixtures you boil up also as pot pourri. It will be fun to try out. And if it's a disaster, then it wouldn't have cost anything much.
99p for that nice blouse! That was a right bargain.0 -

Have brilliant news, went to see the puppies tonight, I could of took the lot, the little girl she was beautiful, she was the only one who had liver and white markings, she came up and wee weed over my shoes, if you could imagine it, the pups were in big outside kennel blocks, the mum dog came out and sat by dad, letting her make a fuss of him, her tempermenant was placid, she was beautiful, so we finally narrowed it down to the pup that took to dd, hes black + white, tiny docked tail, got little bit of white on his ear.....
Hes beautiful, took the camera but forget to take a photo.... dd finally decided on Bailey as a name, so from 2nd Aug... Bailey has his new home xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Great news on the Pup mum2one, I bet DD is over the moon (and the adults too). Love the name choice, my mums old cat was called Bailey, he was a white creamy colour. Hope you enjoy the Pup, our pup is into chewing everything at the moment, we put the pool up for the kids the other day and she decided it looked very inviting and spent an hour in it then managed to pop it LOL so the kids didn't get to go in
It's a bit cooler here today, hope it stays that way too... Anyway just poppin in to say Hi before I get stuck in, Ive got so much to do and not enough time to do it in.
Hope everyone has a great day

Well I have finished making two make up bags from scraps of fabric left over and have two more nearly done. They are for xmas presents. Also made a couple of skirts for my daughter for her birthday using recylcled bits and pieces. Will try toget some photos on in a bit.
Also found agood tutorial on Youtube which shows you how to make a box and lid out of a piece of paper. I wanted a box to put the jewellery in that I had made. I decided to use two pieces of paper together for extra thickness as the outside paper I wanted was very thin. I will try to take some pics of them too this eve (OH is on nights so can't go up and get them yet). I'll also post a link to the tutorial if I can find it.

The first one was just a long tiered skirt which I cut off and hemmed and put a bit of gathered netting round. The skirt cost 50p in charity shop and netting was £1.
The second one I used a piece of tartan fabric I got in a chairty shop for £1 and the bottom black bit is part of her old school skirt which was too short for her. Again i put netting round the bottom. The back of the tartan skirt has a nice zip which is black with diamonte downt he sides but coudln't get it to photo properly. I paid about £1.25 for the zip.
They sell skirts like these in a shop in Rochester called Rocket and they are over £20 a skirt so bargain.0 -
mum2one - Sounds like a great puppy! I recently got one as well xD He's a greyhound cross staffie (or so we think anyway as we adopted him from a rescue centre) and he's a great pet! Hope yours turns out to be great too! And Bailey is a great name btw..Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0

Hiya All
Been Raining here all day, nice a cool which has helped me get on with a few bit. Went to Manchester this morning and got a free bag of goodies from cussons, they had a big Bubble box down near the Urbis that you could walk round and see all the different products they have sold over the year, quite interesting and at the end they gave everyone a bag of goodie (Managed to get 2 as OH was with me) They were even giving away free drinks and they had COFFEE could have stayed in there all day LOL
Well got loads to do tonight, we are off to Lincoln tomorrow for the Airshow at RAF Waddington, so it making Picnics and making sure we have everything we need.
Looking forward to your challenges mum2one, feeling a bit demotivated at the moment over christmas, think we all need more challenges and a good kick up the other end.... missing all the xmassy/ crafty chatter.
Catch you all later
Sarah

I really like the idea of this being a christmas thread too! that's what we did last year and it worked really well and it was a fantastic and very friendly thread, I would be happy to have it as organising etc for Christmas but that is just my opinion!0
