Buying a phone from the Carphone Warehouse

Am I just unlucky, or has anyone else suffered at the hands of the Carphone Warehouse online service ?

I bought a phone from them, complete with airtime voucher, and it arrived quickly, but over 48 hours later I cannot use it, as they haven't applied the airtime update. I expected a physical voucher, which would have been easy to apply, and was explicitly offered on the order - but instead they seem to have this highly inefficient approach.

I've had three conversations with their customer services people, and several emails with lots of contradictory messages, but still no joy.

I won't be using them again - their customer service is beginning to rival 3Mobile (although nothing could be that bad !).
