Going to do closing tomorrow before I hit the sack (sigh). Any tips? I only work part-time so should be on the level.
I enter comps in exactly the same way as toniq and essentially I'm just going to echo everything she has said (as it's good advice)! I don't like doing it by end date because comps often close early and it feels like a rushed way of comping. Like toniq says... you'll need to put in a bit of an effort to switch from entering by "end date" to "thread start time" but I think it took me about a weekend to do it.
Now, each time I come on here, I go to the bottom of the forum and on the drop down I choose sorted by "Thread Start Time". I then start with the most recently posted comp and work my way back to where I got yesterday (and I'll know when I have reached that point because the posts will have been thanked). If I get tired or bored I just write down the date/time of the post I got to (or another option is to subscribe to it) so that I know how far I got to. When I come back next I go to where I left off.
If I come across a comp that is not working, or needs more answers, I subscribe to it and come back to it another time.
I'm still managing to enter over 100 comps a day doing it this way.
Comping this way doesn't suit everyone, but it works well for me and I'm winning prizes regularly!:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
Thanks toniq and kisto :TSECRET TO WINNING PRIZES

hollowhead wrote: »Sorry to be a pain:(but can someone guide me to the link which tells you how to list the comps by closing date have read it somewhere and have done a search but can't find it.
Go to: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=72 and about 1/3 way down the page there is a yellow bar with rectangular buttons... the last button says "End Date View" click that.
Or try this link: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=72&order=desc&sort=title&daysprune=-1
You will then get all the posts ordered by their titles (which start E: 31/12 ) so all the posts beginning with E: 3x/xx will appear first in alphanumerical order ... then all the posts that start E: 2x/xx .... then all the posts that start E: 1x/xx and so on).
What you won't get is posts month/date ordered like this 31/01 , 30/01, 29/01 28/01 27/01 26/01 because the forum software doesn't handle the sorting like that!:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
