• Opinions please...

Have I been stuffing up all my comp entries to "My Village"?

On their entry forms there's a field called "City" and I've been putting my postal town in here. Should I be putting "Nottingham" which is the city I have down in my site registration as the nearest to me on their list, even though it isn't part of my address, or even in the correct county?

No, I didn't ask for a read/receipt as I use Hotmail for comps. and (as far as I know) this facility isn't offered.

I'll contact their Consumer Relations Dept. and see what they say.

Thanks again.

Mimi

I tried the Customer Relations Dept. and they told me they only deal with product queries/complaints, so sorry to say I'm back to square one icon9.gif

Does anyone know of someone else (Ombudsman?) I can take this up with?

hi everyone, there's a hitch in the Pick me Up Magazine crossword today, there's some clues missing in the magazine to finish the crossie off, plus the numbers on the online entry don't match the magazine one, have emailed them & also phoned, am waiting for a reply, so might be a bit late putting it on today, as soon as i hear something will post icon7.gif

edit .all working now

From Velvetgloves comping guide #6 scroll down to line 7
The Institute of Sales Promotions complaints@isp.org.uk lay down the guidelines which comp organisors must follow. MSE Compers have reported that they are very good at investigating dodgy comps & missing prizes with one chap in particular Edwin Mutton, being an absolute star.

The Advertising Standards Authority have an online complaints form.
hope this helps

Best of Luck :)

It's in the comping guide sticky at the top of the forum.

Thanks Al, :) but that was the first place I looked and I just couldnt see it in there - but if your sure its there I am obviously being a bit blind (not unusual) and shall look again.

EDIT - thanks Al x -you have trawled for me and shown that I am indeed poor of sight today - thanks I'm really not having a good day as my ear-bashed husband could vouch for.
