I have just started all this competition stuff as I'm on holiday and have 5 mins to sit down.
I am astounded as to how many competitions for trips/holidays/break exclude school holidays. I appreciate this is peak time for businesses but as I'm a teacher it means I can never take the prize ( well i haven't won anyway!).
And the final straw was on a wedding site. Mostly all of the prizes of honeymoons, photography, venue etc cannot be taken in July & August!!What a rubbish prize! Who is going to change their wedding date if they happen to win one of these prizes? At least if you're not a teacher you can take the honeymoon at another time.
Rant over - just wondered if there are any fellow teachers out there who are frustrated by this?!:cool:Always on the hunt for a bargain.0 -
Not just frustrated teachers but frustrated parents  Who can't take their kids out of school for a holiday.
Also parents of 3/4/5 children as holiday prizes are either for 2 or 2+2 (the 'gentlemans' family)
So you don't need to be a teacher to feel the frustration of T&C'sJo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

Yay a rant I can join in with.;) Why do some holiday comps have an age limit for the kids eg the Disneyland Paris comps which are for kids aged 2-11. What am I supposed to do with my 13 year old DS, tell him to stay at home while we enjoy ourselves?:mad: It's not like they suddenly become adults at that age.0 -
I run 40+ entry form / competition round robin swap groups. They have been running over 4 years I can send you full details, if anyone wants to join, let me know. I have members from all over the UK, so you all get the benefit of being sent forms that a local area wouldnt see. I have entry form pages, where we all put details of new entry forms appearing. If you
want a particular form you cant find, i have a page where you can put requests etc.

Apologies if this is in the wrong place but could someone help me get the daily e-mails. I am trying to add to the spam filters on my e-mail to make sure it gets through but I need the name of the sender which appears on the e-mail and the subject as no matter what I do, I'm not receiving anything and want to try this before I go to my internet provider.0
