I usually put 'thanks' too or my phone number under postcode, I'm glad to say I haven't had any returned (yet)! :)
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!
  • My questions are regarding the Empire mag txt competitions. I was comprising my message to them when I ran out of characters. I presume that I was doing right by texting 'Empire' as well as my answer, and contact details? Lisa

    Hi

I've got a bt account and for the past few days it's stopped sending emails. I have contacted BT and am waiting to hear from then......

Anyhow, I wondered if it mght be to do with the fact that I've been entering a lot of competitions lately, often by email - although no more so than I suspect anyone else on here?!

Has anyone had this problem before?

    Thanks

This is awful, but it's not really the place to post it, it should be in the comp discussion sticky, I'll PM a board guide to get it moved.

    Hi all.

Not sure where to post this - or even if its allowed  Possibly we are not allowed to give personal addresses, if so then I apologise and ~I'll remove. Just thought it was too good a prize to put in the bin!!

I got a brochure with paper for Furniture Village, and there's a coupon to enter a comp for a massage chair worth £1199

You have to complete and post in person in store, and there's not one near me. If anyone wants it, please PM me and I can mail to you. 1st responder gets it!!

The stores are - Abingdon, Bolton, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Chester, Croydon, Darlington, Exeter, Friern Barnet, Gateshead, Gillingham, Guildford, High Wycombe, Leeds, Manchester, MK, Norwich, Nottingham, Orpington, ~peterborough, plymouth, Poole, Reading, Romford, Slough, Solihull, Southampton, South Ruislip, Staines, Stockton on Tees, Telford, Tunbridge Wells, Watford, Wednesbury, West Thurrock.

DOH! Forgot to say, there's one to win per store.

Update - just checked on their website, and lo and behold, you can enter online too at http://www.furniturevillage.co.uk/20thbirthday This says there's 10 to give away, but the coupon says one per store, and there's more than 10 stores, so maybe you have a better chance entering in-store.

I'm off to check the main board to see if its listed there, and if not I'll add it :)

Have been away from comping for a while & now back to new look site,

Am really confused as have always gone to "Thread title, Ascending" to get end dates in order.
Can only get all comps dated 1st of each month at the moment and no others .

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or point me in the direction of the right person to ask.

    Thanks :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Hello everyone,
I'm not new to comping just returning to it but I am new to this part of MSE.
I wondered if you could help me please?
I read the facts part about how the board works and went to the bottom of the page put in thread title and then ascending.
I wanted to do comps E: 05/08 earlier today(I know it was leaving it late)but couldn't find any so then did the google search that was explained and found them that way.
I then came back and did thread title and ascending again and I found the E: 06/08 comps about 18 pages in and entered those and now I'm doing 07/08 but these start on page 20. From page 1-20 I get a lot of comps dated 01/09 02/09 01/11 etc. Am I doing something wrong(quite probably LOL) but if I'm not will these comps on the first 20 pages appear again in order as I get to the 01/09 02/09 pages or should I do the comps on the first 20 pages first or I'll miss them?
I'm not complaining, it's a wonderful facility and I can see everyone puts in a huge amount of effort in the running of it and posting all the comps and all the help and advice for which I'm extremely grateful but I just don't think I'm using it right and if I don't ask I'll never know.
Any help or advice would be very appreciated.
    Thank you.

EDIT: What smartt21 said in sooo many less words.
