Morning all,
Not a bad day today, altough not sunny , we are off in the kayak today :T all of our life jackets arrived, but mine will not go around my chests
so I have to send it back, but still, we will take our usual picnic with a flask and see where we end up. DD is coming with us today, and her and I normally end up with major giggles so much so that our tummy's hurt, its great fun.
Quiche tonight, with new pots and sweetcorn, I did get a bit of beef but as we are out all day I will do it tomorrow.
In Lidl on friday I got a pack of muscels half price for £1.14, which OH loves you microwave them for 4 mins, he said they were lovely so may get some more if I am passing.
OK have good days all xx0 -
Morning all
Overcast here at the moment but looks as though the sun might break through (fingers crossed)
Managed to get all line washing dried yest before rain started so hoping to do the same today as it is Hubbies work clothes and they always smell of diesel and oil!!!!!
Finished flat clearing yest and he became very emotional when we locked flat up for the last time - he has needed that for the past 3 weeks and hopefully will feel a little better today.
Friends called to see us last night and we had a lovely evening with wine and pizza etc - though I was really good and stuck to my diet and blamed my new tablets so they wouldn't think I was just being a kill-joy! It did DH the world of good their being there, so I was really grateful.
Silly thing is we feel at a bit of a loss this morning - every day has been so busy and totally tied up with trying to get things sorted out since DMiL'S death that we are not sure what to do with ourselves. Think we may go out to lunch and then meet up with my brothers for a drink later. We do have some organising for the Ireland wedding trip to do anyway (I have booked our hire car, airport parking and all our hotel accommodation - but need to get them organised with cars and parking etc - they are always last minute!)
Diva hope you heard from Tristan
SunnyGirl sounds as though your day out yest was just what you needed after all the stress recently. Hope your DF had a good day/night too.

Good morning lovely ladies

It's a beautiful sunny morning, puts a spring in your step :j
Well I'm bathed, dressed and ready to face the day, WM is on it's 2nd load, have ironed 2 loads of washing, 2 more to go
Have a Sainsburys delivery coming later, so we'll be fully stocked up. Need to pop to Homebase to get some more felting for the shed roof and some sealant for the front door, as well as some colour charts for DD's bedroom.
DH will probably spend the afternoon watching footie, as long as he cuts the grass that's fine by me.
I need to sew some poppers into a dress we bought for DD yesterday, it was a bit low cut I think it was designed to be worn with wigtape IYKWIM :rotfl:
Dinner tonight will most probably be chicken, jacket potato and salad.
Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning Folks
Just a quickie, lovely evening last night, the £3.59 for a 2kg chicken from Netto was really moist and tasty. Will boil the bits up today for stock. Several "bits" in the fridge so will have an eat up for tea, probably two different differs but np.
Ironing and paperwork are on the agenda today, so better get bum in gear.
Pen-Pin hope you are having a good sleep and rest.
Smoky - WHERE ARE YOU? (Is any one in touch??)
H-J - leave the chores and enjoy the garden
All other MIA  come back soon.
:grouphug: to those who'd like one - :hello: to everyone.

bright and sunny morning here and just about to go for a walk with DH and doggies.
Washing on the line and our bedding is now in WM.
More weeding planned for today and planting some heather in front garden. Estate agent coming tomorrow to take some pics so I'm glad that the weather has been good this weekend so we've been able to knock the garden into better shape. I've enjoyed sitting out at our new table with my morning cup.
Going to clean the windows today and will try vinegar - haven't used it before for that - do you just scrunch up newspaper and rub it with vinegar on? Love the idea of less chemicals. Going to give all the sinks a de-gunk as well.
Ok, off out now.
Hope everyone has a good day
((((hugs)))) to those who want one today

Second load of washing is in the machine and DH is scrubbing the kitchen table. Had to laugh yesterday as he bought a scrubbing brush in Lidl, conveniently forgetting he had thrown the last one out while "tidying!".;)
Just three of us home for lunch which will be lamb done in the Remoska, pork chop for anyone picky about lamb, Jersey Royals, cauli and broccoli, asparagus and cheese sauce.
Will microwave chicken with veg and cheese sauce (homemade) for DD(15) when she gets back fom York.
Can't get into the kitchen for a cup of tea because D is clattering round -- wait a minute, he never hesitates to get in my way when I am cooking when he wants something, neither do DDs.
Going to brave the kitchen and start preparing veg etc.
He is washing dishes so will wait till he is out of the way and then either wash them propery or use the dishwasher. I am not being passiveaggressive- he does not see the awful smears and food stains he leaves so for the sake of safety and my sanity, I check everything.
Hugs to all and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Oops, should have been DS. If you want to see where dh works then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C5s371cqpU
this is the kind of thing they get up to. Sadly there isn't a soundtrack any more, but it was very good. DH isn't in it by the way. I also have some interesting photos of dh meeting King Neptune as he crossed the equator for the first time. Farm masks would have been tame by comparison :rotfl:0
