Total above ignoring points £396
TOTAL STILL NEEDED –
Need to spend roughly 350 more so need Around £75 to cover that and what I've spent already plus £400 cash for DSD and DSS
If I don't make any more cash I think I can cover the shortfall - this includes all birthdays and gift for xmas except mine.
I did have over £400 in the pot but spent my Debenhams vouchers in the sale to get £35 of stuff for £17.50
My best bargain was the full set of Star Wars Dvd's from Amazon and after using vouchers I paid a whole £1.50
I have 8 more birthdays - 2 of which need half the cash above 6 are sorted and 2 I have noidea about.
Xmas is 19 people and have only got 6 sorted  and a few partially sorted - DD will be having an MP3 player hopefully from Amazon vouchers converted to points and have Boots points for most of the others.
Am far more organised than usual
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Evening Ladies
I put a detailed list of presents I have got and who for etc on the other thread on Rudolph Day so don't want to repeat it all but the gist of it is as below. I have added up what I actually spent so far and then worked out how much I would have paid if I had either paid full price for things or bought garments instead of buying wool and knitting them etc.
People to buy presents for (for whole year inc Xmas) 38
Still to buy for (or finish) 11
Total Spent £206
Would have cost approx £800
Total Saved approx £594
My biggest savings have been my Dad's coat which would have cost me about £120 to buy new and I got it for £1 (£21 on Ebay but had sold £20 worth of goods same day). Also the presents for my nieces as I knitted them dolls and made them patchwork bags and makeup bags out of scraps of leftover material. My OH's birthday presents were half paid for using Amazon vouchers from when I was allowed on Bingoports.
As well as the presents I have paid off my daughters camping trip from my Money Neutral fund which was £180 and she has had another school trip for £15 last week. Also have £50 put by towards a trip to Thorpe Park for her for an extra birthday present in a few weeks time.
I still have £50 to come from 3 of my Daily Click sites which I have claimed but not yet received. The other sites are not up to payout threshold again yet.
I have 1 x £5 Amazon voucher left from Cashback Kings.
Thats about it for this month.
Edit ... Forgot that I have a sealed pot with £2 coins in, not sure how much is in there.0 -
Rufus - oh bag making and knitting wizard.
Have you ever stitched lining into knitted stuff with your machine?
If not do you think it would work?
Have been putting off trying it with Aurora's bag (which is why it's taking so long) and am frightened to take the plunge so to speakOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi paddingtondoo - I cant remember sewing lining into knited things on the machine but I am sure it would work same as with sewn bags. Once you have knitted the parts of the bag they are really just pieces of knitted fabric. Think you would have to tack them well so they dont stretch. Better idea might be to make the lining up into the bag shape if you know what I mean then sew the whole piece into the bag round the top by hand. I did this on my patchwork bags as I thought I would get a better finish by hand sewing as I could "hide" the stitches like on a hem.0 -
well I am hanging my head in shame as I haven't really done very well this month!
I forgot to go to Boots and do the 500 points at phamacy thing, I haven't done any ebay stuff, no money spent via quidco, banned from bingoport and every survey I have started recently has been discontinued half way through!
I have to try harder for June as feeling a bit down today re money and stuff.
Well done to all you guys those totals are very impressive!!0 -
Wow, it looks like most of you have done pretty well in June. I don't know what I got and it's too hot to do maths to work it out xD lol.
Furrypig - I'm sure you'll be able to do more this month! Hopefully the surveys wont be discontinued half way through at least!.Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0 -
I did better than expected but think July will be a washout as I have lost my mojo
.
Smile furry - piggies always look so happy as they have kind of turned up faces (like ducks do) - if we can help you know where we are

Have brilliant news, went to see the puppies tonight, I could of took the lot, the little girl she was beautiful, she was the only one who had liver and white markings, she came up and wee weed over my shoes, if you could imagine it, the pups were in big outside kennel blocks, the mum dog came out and sat by dad, letting her make a fuss of him, her tempermenant was placid, she was beautiful, so we finally narrowed it down to the pup that took to dd, hes black + white, tiny docked tail, got little bit of white on his ear.....
Hes beautiful, took the camera but forget to take a photo.... dd finally decided on Bailey as a name, so from 2nd Aug... Bailey has his new home xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2one, that really is brilliant news! shame it didnt work out at the rescue place, but I'm sure Bailey will love his new home in a months time.
We used to have a dog called smirnoff, & my ex had hamsters when he lived here called bud, weis & ertm.
Chin up Furry, I'm sure something will come along soon, you can text/ring/PM me whenever you want a natter.
