3 contract ends soon. When do i cancel??
hi, i bought an e2save 3 contract phone on 20th May 2005 i know it's coming upto a year as i keep getting harrased about a new contract every other day
my first bill says.
Bill Period Upto 21 May 05
Bill Date 22 May
Payment Taken 10th June
i successfully received my 6 months cashback
and i am due another £60 cashback @ 12 months
with all these dates i am confused as to what date i have to cancel, and do i have to do it in writing or by phone/email
and do i just ring 333 (there is no info about cancelling in any of the written material i have received from 3)
also can i keep my number and ask them to unlock the phone?
quite a few points, thanks for any help

Easiest way to find out is to just ring three - and ask them "When can I cancel my contract" - they'll usually tell you.
If you want to keep your number - I think I'm right in saying you shouldn't cancel your contract - just ring three and ask them for your PAC code near the end of the contract. Then sort out a contract with another network and give them the PAC code to port your number. Apparently asking for a PAC code is the equivalent to giving notice on your contract anyway.
If you need to keep the same number - and you want another 3 contract - you will need to port your number across to a PAYG sim on another network, and then back to 3 again.. Should take a couple of weeks in total.
Not sure about them unlocking the phone - you can try asking tho.0 -
You can cancel over the phone with 3, but you have to ring exactly 30 days before your contract ends (at the earliest).
So I'd say 22 April ring them, but check first0
