Exactly my point (only BB put it much better) we are all just one big screwball mess of insecurity.
But thinking about it all going wrong, we all think it's the worst thing in the world and that everyone will think we are stupid and crap etc etc. But I've been to gigs as a punter and I've seen some serious clangers on that stage. One time I saw Toto, funnily enough, and Bobby Kimball covered just about every possible key in the first 12 bars. But, I don't think to myself, he's crap, I think... 'ooh must have some horrible monitoring issues up there' Poor bloke can't hear a thing. Imagine how he felt
he knows that 99% of the crowd are musicians, we're the only ones who go to see them :rotfl:so every tiny pitch problem will be noticed.
So, you see, people don't want you to fail, but if you make a bit of a booboo you're just showing that you are as human as everyone else and they will excuse you. besides, c0cking up is endearing, no one likes mr perfect know it all, do they... well that's my excuse anyway
