We are first flying into Toronto for four nights then flying to New York.
As coffee making facilities are not usually provided in their hotels, we would like to take coffee and'Coffee Mate' with us, is this permiited in hold luggage?

Every hotel I've ever stayed in in Canada and the US has had coffee making facilities.

But yes, it would be permitted.

None of the hotels I've stayed at in the US have had coffee making facilities, especially in Vegas, and I've stayed at a lot.

depends where you go, I was in Boston last weekend, and the room had a coffee maker with coffee/tea pods plus capsules of liquid coffeemate. Orlando is another place that has coffeemakers, but as you say Vegas mostly doesnt

Powders are treated as liquids so must comply with 100ml rule or be in hold luggage.

Not true. I frequently take powder through in my hand luggage, no problem.

I have yet to stay in a hotel room that didn't have coffeee making facilities, particularly in Vegas, and I'm proper caffeine head so I would have noticed.

Correction, I've just stayed in the Signature in Vegas and that had a coffee maker and nice coffee, but no coffee makers in the Encore, Palazzo, Venetian, MGM, Paris, Caesars, IP, Planet Hollywood or Bellagio.

Sorry, I thought I'd read it somewhere but can't find any back up. Might have been something linked to the custard powder mentioned above.
