Thanks for that Windorblue, I think like Godiva says they are just trying it on, but it is certainly un-nerving.

Kinda had a feeling everything wouldnt be cut and dried.......

Today I recieved a phone call from the OR!!!

Apparently RBS appealed within the 30 days, OR has only just got round to contacting me.
She told me, that RBS were unhappy with the level of gambling related debts on my DRO, and that as a consequence she will be coming down from Plymouth to interview me.
Cue tears, hysterics, and general unhappiness!

She confirmed that her main purpose is to impliment a Restriction Order if deemed required, and not to revoke the order.......however I dont feel that safe.

Interview is to be held on the 18th September, 4 months to the day that my DRO was approved. :(

  • Hi elfieb, I cant offer any advice as Im not clued up on DRO's, but I would like to wish you luck and I hope all goes well.
The face to face meeting will be because they have box's to tick. We had one with our Trustee, it really was not as bad as I had worked it up to be in my mind.
good luck hun and try not to worry x

Im just so depressed right now, I feel it will never end.

I was just beginning to get my life back on track, hoping to go to college, feeling positive about things once more and the BAM!!! everything is up in the air again.

I dont think I can carry on this way much longer....it isnt a life, its and exsistance.

Im not a bad person, I just made some big mistakes. Ive let everyone down, I cant even look family members in the eye.

  • We have all made mistakes :-(

What is important is that you CAN and WILL get through this, and at the end you will be a better person.
You have achieved so much owning up to your problems and mistakes.

This Journey is a rollar coaster, it will be full of ups and downs but beleive me the train stops and you are able to get off.

    Chin up mate, chin up

I understand how you feel as i've been in the same boat for about a year now - I was at my wits end, but it all turns round. I know it's easier to say than do, but stay positive - You've realised the mistakes you've made and you're trying to be a better person because of them - Stick with it, this is not going define who you are or where you will be a year from now - this is a bump in the road - you've not buried your head in the sand, you're dealing with it.

I know the interview is tomorrow - be honest, up front and illustrate what you've done to overcome the gambling.

Good luck, if you feel up to it, write a post about how it went - It may do some good.
