Call the 0800 number on their website they will tell you your behaviour score over the phone.

It depends on the person. I had one telling me the BS no problem, but a few refused to do so claiming hsbc policy not to reveal BS! All to do with DPA crap.

Just go into the branch, make up an excuse like Andy_Ches suggested, it will be there plain and clear for you to see.... i have done it number of times without any problems...i think it is really depends on the person you dealing with.

They can show you the screen yes. The BS is top right corner with customer potential five star rating. So basically there is two scores together.
Bring ID with you so they know who you are....

The screen will just show your name, address, account details, amount and so forth.... just look at top right corner or near it ....i can picture it myself having seen it several times....it is not difficult to miss. You can always ask the hsbc staff....some will be happy to show you, some will say no it is hsbc information not for customer to know....

Just say i am interested in a loan...will i be eligible for one...the first thing the staff will look is your BS score.

Went for 1st Direct A/C and update below:
Right night lads - will update tomorrow when I ring at 9am scratching for answer haha

Spoke to first direct, they have said they received my application for bank account & credit card. They asked for my formal authority to check HSBC systems otherwise i'd have to send statements in. I said sure, knock yourself out!

They told me that they will post forms; I should sign and then when they have my signature they will do checks and account should be opened within 7-10 days from then.

I guess this means they don't do any processing until they have the forms back, i.e. they've not credit searched me yet..... is this right or have they already accepted me then if they are posting the forms - anyone have any idea's how this works?

Will keep you all updated on progress over the next couple of weeks then, until I get a 'Sorry to let you know' letter!

My branch has an enquiry point where you can walk over and look at the screen directly. I've not asked for a while but I thought it was in the middle on the right.
