My 12 year old daughter had her mobile phone robbed the other day.
By robbed i mean it had £10.00 put in it's account, and 4 hours later, there was 85p left in her mobile thanks to two text messages which she did not ask for.
None of these texts were answered by her as we have often told her to delete any incoming texts by anyone she does not know.
When i contacted o2,they said she had recieved and answered both of them, and both were deleted,so when i asked who sent them, they gave me the number, and guess what,it was an American company, and they would not accept calls from anyone unless they logged into their company.
I again asked my daughter if she deleted these messages, and again she said she did not even know anyone by that name, the only ones she ever used to text were her friends and her mum,so i contacted o2 once more asking why o2 let's these companies use o2 to rob people's accounts,it is about time this was stopped.
o2 gave us the number and told us to add STOP at the end of the number, and we have done that, but i am still aggrieved at how easily this can happen.
