Good deal on 3...?
I am a new moneysaver, so please criticise this post cos im sure it is complete rubbish, but through QuidCo, on e2save, it is £41.50 off contracts with 3 Mobile... looking at the offers they have, they are doing 6 months half price line rental, free LG880/LG8330 and a free PSP Value pack...
This got me thinking, the total cost normally for an 18 month contract with free phone would be £35 per month (400 mins and 250 txts), making a total of £630, but with 6 months half price, this brings it down to £525 for the 18 months, throw in the PSP worth £179.99 and flog it for around £140/£150 on ebay, this brings it down again to £375/£385 and take £41.50 off from QuidCo..
£333.50 (approx.)
so over the 18 months works out at £18.53 (approx.)
In the small print you can't change your tariff until after 6 months, but nothing to say you can't change it down a tariff after this 6 months (because i know some people don't get through 400 mins and 250 txts)... This could bring the average monthly total down again!
Please someone point out the flaw in my logic here... or is it a good deal?
(EDIT EXTRA: i know 3's coverage isnt the best..... :wall:

Good thinking - but there are better deals out there - just none this week..
For example (picked this up end of Feb);
Motorola V3 Pink - FREE on Orange OffPeak 1000 = £20/month.
£80, £80 and £80 back at month 4, 8 and 12.
£31.50 back from e2save through quidco.
Sell the phone on ebay for £120.
Cash coming to you = £391.50
Cash paid out = £240
Total profit = £151.50.
Keep lurking around here for a few weeks and you should be able to pick up some good bargain tariffs. Often you'll get phones with much more useful tariffs than 1000 offpeak too
