I have also responded to this on your other thread where for some reason you found fit to call me a troll just because I didn't agree with you....
YES YES YES (how many times do you need to be told) there is Severe Disablement Allowance which more than probably is still in payment as it was awarded prior to the change in regulations when the allowance ceased.
It was awarded to people who were assessed at more than 80% disabled or who had various passported benefits. It was primary aimed at those people who had always been too ill to work at all and therefore not build up an entitlement to Incapacity Beneift.0 -

EDP - could it be this?
or this
a while back I saw a thread either on here or another forum where a parent had experienced financial problems and her bank had taken money from her child's savings account to cover the shortfall in her own account. Although the general consensus was that what the bank had done was not legal, and I understand the bank did eventually credit the money back when a complaint was made, I'd aim to use a different organisation from wherever you hold your money.Eat food. I know you can have up to £6000 in savings when on income support before they start to reduce your benefit but on dla I understand its up to £16000
I myself was confused with this, so if you are on both income support and dla you can still only save up to the £6000 rather than £16000?Thanx

DLA is non means tested, so you can have any savings you want. IB you can only have £16000, IS is £6000. But yes, if you're on IS and IB then you can only save up to £6000, because IS is for low income, once over £6000 in savings you start to lose benefit...0

severe disabled allowance used to be paid if you got the highest rate of DLA, it no longer exists for new claimants.
I really wish people would check their facts before coming on these forums and being so rude.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
EDP is enhanced disabilty premium and is payable to high rate care awards DLA where the claimant is recieving IS.
I asked what SDLA was and the answer the OP replied with was a non-exsisting benefit (the post has now been changed) then picked a benefit from the ones suggested by other posters, a classic trolling action, so is ignoring any poster who questions you but acknowleging favorable posts.
SDA was abolished in April 2001 and Blackpool_ saver is wrong it was given to people already in recicpt of some previous discontinued benefits or were assessed as being 80% disabled but mostly for people who havnt paid enough NIs for IB who have been sick for 28 weeks or more.

OMG !!!! you think you were right all along !!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
(and Blackpool Saver is correct)0 -
If you look up SDA on directgov you will fing that Blackpool_Saver is wrong and unlike someothers I do check my information which is how I know that its EDP that is awarded for HRCC DLA.
SDA had nothing to do with DLA at all.
I know a troll when I see one and adopting another posters suggestion is a classic case.
