What about rock climbing/bouldering - it really isn't that expensive (or not much more than the cinema!) & they don't need there own gear if they go to a wall that provides it. One of the walls OH & I climb at has loads of kids - boys & girls - climbing at it & it's nice innocent stuff;)

If you live near an indoor skiing centre, like Xscape, they quite often have toboganning(sp?!) on an evening which looks like great fun, not too expensive & you don't have to know how to ski :D

There are several initiatives around the country where young people - 25 & under (so thats me & OH almost out!) - get very cheap tickets to certain shows/musicals at the theatre. There are some great shows on that even young people would like - maybe I was a strange child/teenager but I used to go at least 4 times a year to the theatre/ballet whether it was cool or not

Don't know what your son/his girlfriend are in to but there's always things like Rugby matches - up here students get in very cheap, or there's upcoming artists gigs or high wire forest adventure stuff for a weekend.

Hmmm I am guessing though that a lot of teenagers will want to spend most of their time "snogging" & "coping a bit of a feel"! Oh dear :o

I was such a good teenager really & my parents really didn't appreciate it :rotfl:

Picnics? Art galeries / museums might have a cool exhebition and are often free.

At that age I spent a lot of time in my exbf's bedroom watching red dwarf! (His mum used to make him leave the door open too) :)
  • My 14yr old DS has had a g/f for over 12mths. He spends more time at her house than she does at mine (she doesn't like dogs!) Although last week she came round for tea. They finish school at 3.15pm and I don't get home until 5....when I'd got home neither of them were in their school uniform, they'd got changed - which means they'd both been naked in my house :eek::eek::eek:

Have spoken to my son...the old "no balloon, no party" routine. He looked at me with one of those withering looks and said "It's illegal at my age, you know" like he was some sort of :A!!!!!!
Mainly they go swimming, or into town window shopping with friends, although now the weathers better they're outside more. He's trying to get her interested in fishing...I've told him not to hold his breath!!

Coming from a teenager myself, I'd be 95% certain that something went on, as I'm pretty sure one of them didn't wait outside while the other got changes. :D

Cinema is always fun. As I work there, I don't have to pay either, and get 50% off food/drink. Cheap dates. :rotfl:

When I was 15 I took I went on a 'date' to Blackpool for the day. We took the train from Sheffield and spent the day wandering along the front, the beach and on the rides. I have very fond memories of that day :)
