At 15 my three children (now 23, 21 and 19) didn't have enough money to go on many outings, trips to cinema, bowling etc, certainly not meals out more than once a month (if that). They all went to under 18 club nights, hung out at friend's houses or brought their gf/bfs round to our house- where they wanted to spend all the time in their bedrooms watching TV, listening to music (and 'snogging' no doubt!;)). I was fine with that as long as they left the door very slightly ajar until they were over 16 (was easier with my two boys as they shared a room). It was also easier when we moved to a house with two separate reception rooms so they could go and sit in one while the old fogies ( dh and I :cool:) sat in the other! What they really hated was sitting watching TV or listening to music in the same room as their parents. My 19 yo son often asks me if he can cook a meal for his gf at home and makes it special for her negotiating a room to use where we won't disturb them for a couple of hours - they even had it outside in the garden with some solar fairy lights the other night as a finale prior to both going back to two different unis. I don't mind as dh and I often get to eat the leftovers!:D:D“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

your boys sound lovely.
When we eventually move, I think I'll keep my boys sharing. Hopefully the bunk beds will stop all thoughts of getting up to anything other than chatting & snogging with their girlfriends0 -
My dd said to me the other day that 90% of 15 yo 's have already had sex.

DS1 (age 15) has just gone out on his first date (makes me feel old!). They've gone to the cinema, he was asking me where else they could go and other than bowling I couldn't think of anywhere else!!
Any ideas?
For a pizza or an under 18 disco or something?
My niece has just turned 17 and hasn't had a boyfriend yet....thank goodness. :rotfl: Quite a few boys like her but she only likes them as mates. All the boys she has crushes on are spoken for her so she admires from afar.I think she likes the unattainable at the moment.

My little sis (15) goes on all sorts of dates! My next sis down (20) and me (22) had to suffer ultimate humiliation 2 years ago, when we both had boyfriends who "forgot" valentines day, and ended up answering the door to 3 of little sis' admirers! Honestly, one brought a bunch of flowers so big I couldn't even see him behind them, and she wouldn't even let him over the threshold. Her and all her friends love going to the teenybopper disco at the big club in town, she always begs me to pick her up instead of mum as I turn a blind eye to a quick snog and the smell of cigarettes. She went to blackpool for the day a few months back, about 5 of them went on the train. I think picnics are a good idea if the weather is nice enough, won't cost him loads of money either.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0
