no more free international calls from xnet mobile minutes?

until today we used to pay NOTHING to call Egypt by using an 0844 access number on an o2 contract phone. Now international call checker is only showing 0871 numbers (NOT included in free minutes) and other prepay services where you dial an access number from inclusive minutes but have to pre-pay the internat service provider per minute (cheapest 4p plus 5p connection). anyone know a way round this - really dire news for anyone using o2 contract phones to call abroad.

Anyone know a way around this - we just signed up for 3 mobile phone contracts in the family to call family living abroad

just checked on simply phone (mobile access number included in minutes) by egyptian landline isn't available/supported

The number is only inclusive if you are on a x-net tariff. The website shows that you can call Egyptian mobiles (but no landlines) on mon-fri but only from 8am-6pm. Hope that helps.

Some destinations fluctuate in cost, and this means that cheap calls providers have to change for example from 5p to 7p, which means 0844 is not available right now.

You could try other 07744 providers though, from inclusive minutes.
