Actually wonder if this exist (might not) but if so related to this topic. If say in a property you have a variable signal strength which in most cases give good number of bars. But every so often it lose all signals and hence have to restart mobile phone to get signal back. Is there a relay service one can put up to improve the signal strength. Like you can do with wireless network using WDS.

    Thanks you two.

Sam - Tried my husband's phone there which is a different model. No signal. He actually has the same problem as me but is under contract for a shorter length of time. He just called Orange who told him he can terminate the contract but it will cost the equivalent of 5 months contract (over £100) which is the time remaining on his contract. If they say the same to me it's gonna cost a lot more as my contract doesn't finish til Oct next year!

Quentin - I hadn't considered that I would have to pay for every incoming call to a new mobile number! Hmmm, any idea of the cost of that?

Ask for a upgrade to a Unique handset & connect via wi-fi @ home to Orange

    Unique handsets are a couple of Blackberry's ( crackberry.com should help ), Nokia 6301 & HTC Touch 3G.

I use Unique, its a god send - only network signal I don't have problems with is 3, pity customer care are dire !

Unique handsets are based on UMA technology - UMA data is hard coded into the phone's wifi chip so you need to buy a Orange UMA handset -
