I get my pups food from here

    www.food4-dogs.co.uk

    and my Bengals from here

    www.food4-cats.co.uk

My pup has just been introduced to Raw food so I can't tell you what his coat is like but my Bengal cats coats are very very shiny and healthy. Also when on Raw the animal doesn't poo every day more like every other day and their poos are quite firm and do not smell :D

Just because it has a high level of protein listed does NOT mean it's good quality protein...

I'd recommend buying either James Welbeloved, Burns or Arden Grange. The quality of the protein in those are far higher and better for the animals :)

Thanks Mrs Tine, quite frankly v. confused about the whole ingredient thing. Seem to spend hours reading labels and now seem to be none the wiser! Have been trying to buy food with meat/fish listed as first ingredient and also gluten free (have one wee mite who seems to be coeliac). Most dog foods have cereals listed as the first ingredient, even the likes of Iams and Eukanuba, so thought I had done OK with this one! Will defo check out your suggestions.
Also, on a similar thread, I'm having to feed another pup on chicken and rice after an op for a twisted gut. She has been on this for 2 weeks now and is doing great on it but seems to be bored with the stuff (can't blame her) and surely, she'll not gain any weight on this. Any of you knowledgeable crowd have any ideas how I could safely start to build her up? Vet seems v. keen to sell me the Hills Prescription sensitivity stuff, which costs a fortune, so just wondered if you knew of anything similar but at a better price. Thanks in advance.

Orijen is grain free, quality dog food so might be worth looking into. Its pricey per bag but you feed much less of it (looked about half for my dogs) so should work out more affordable than on first glance.
