We bought our kitchen from Wickes last year. I love my kitchen so much and even a year later, it still gives me great pleasure. The quality is superb and looks wonderful. It cost in the region of £2,000 after various discounts but that included washing machine, fridge/freezer, oven, hob & extractor fan plus my lovely ROK sink. Think it was worth every penny. Plus our kitchen planner at Wickes was superb.

That must be a small kitchen. I have budgeted £3,000 for appliances, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, extra fridge dual oven, hob & extractor.

Kitchen units, plinths and pelmets from Wickes, Howdens and Jewson all about £4-5k. Haven't decided who to buy from yet.

Sorry, think old age is catching up with me & playing tricks with my memory. Have just checked my Wickes invoice and the price was actually £5,849.00 then had discount of £1,970.70 which reduced figure to £3,878.30. Kitchen is approx. 11 x 9.

    We do Mereway kitchens.

    Hi CK

Would I be right in thinking that mereway and wentworth are the same product?

Or that wentworth is the retail name used for mereway?

    Thanks

    Hi Ivavoucher,

Mereway Kitchens Ltd is the parent company and we are a dealer that effectively sells their products as our 'own brand'. Wentworth is the name for their franchise shops across the country. Mereway also produce the John Lewis own range of kitchens.

Hope this clarifies things a bit better.

    Ta.

Its my pleasure Ivavoucher. The high gloss doors are excellent quality as they are a high gloss lacquer not a foil or laminate as these are inferior to the lacquer finish. If you want to send me the pictures or plan afterwards I can check the prices for you, just to give you a bit of piece of mind if you want.

Bought Wickes kitchen, couple of items incorrectly supplied but this was sorted. Their designer did make a minor omission which did cause problems, but Wickes did again sort it out (at considerable cost to them), but I had to be very proactive, and they did refund on items supposedly needed but found to be surplus.

Fitted by professional kitchen fitter recommended by builder at very reasonable price.
