Glad it worked out! I love the idea of using something that would otherwise be thrown away!!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

red carriers from m & s, also our veg shop has them, maybe worth looking out for people with them whilst shopping. ;D0

Yep, when I worked in a veg shop we had yellow and blue for most of the year and red and green for Christmas ;DWhen life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt

Save the inner cardboard tube from toilet rolls to make 'candles', even really little kids can make them, just need some crayons/glitter/paper to stick on it, and a bit of yellow paper or silver foil for the 'flame'
I suppose it would make a chimney too if you put cotton wool 'snow' on the top.
I thought I would try to make this year more special - and cheaper ;D, by doing something christmassy every day of advent. So far we have seen the lights switched on, made cake, cards, written to santa, made more cards, decorated the tree, made paper chains. Now, I caved in and bought the only gummed paper chains I could find, in Partners - ONE BLOOMIN NINETY NINE I SAY ONE POUND NINETY NINE ITS A RIP OFF! Alright they had cute pictures on them but it was not very reminiscent of the cruddy dull coloured strips we used to get every year from the village shop. Anyone know where you can get them cheaper? I know I could have cut paper and glued it to make them but thats too much like hard work and too much glue with my kids
