Yep I will try Avast again see if it will update this time.
As I say it is just short term as new computer is being bought soon, just need something to keep their current one clean till then.
Just out of interest....what do you all recommend, XP or Vista? Personally I am an XP user and very happy but just wondered what others thought.0 -

I think it means you get both Windows XP and Vista recovery disks. XP might be pre-installed then you have disks to upgrade to Vista... not too sure though.
Vista's okay now, Windows 7 will be here 20100 -
Avast worked with my old Win98se machine, automatically updated O.K, only 192mb RAM, but IIRC the 'resident shield' features are disabled.Move along, nothing to see.0
