Turning A  Matrees

My hubby always used to do ours, but can anyone tell me often it should be done, and if there is an easy way, or a certain way, i.e. top to bottom or side to side?

thanks.

    HI 160

I turn ours every 3 months, ours has numbers sewn into the corners & I just follow the sequence but I think you turn over & top to bottom each time, that way each possible combination gets slept on for 1/4 of the year & the next year you start from the beginning again.
I haven't explained that very well, I hope someone knows what I mean & can put it more clearly ???

Yup, turning side to side changes the side you and your partner sleep on. Turning end to end means your feet and head swap positions. This is all necessary for good mattress and back health

Ah, I once made the mistake of turning a Dunapiller mattress, certian makes shouldn't be turned or can only be turned head to toe & not actually over. I seem to think air-sprung pocket mattresses shouldn't be turned either? If your lable says not to, I wouldn't. Apart from being uncomfortable it could potentially damage teh insides.

    HTH ;)

I was hoping there might be some tips on here about how to turn one (physically), as ours weighs a ton and takes hubby and me all our combined strength to up-end or side-to-side it. Luckily it has sewn-in handles at the sides, but it is still a major darned nuisance fete of strength. The other obstacle is trying to get the fitted valance back underneath it, when washed, even if not turning the dratted thing mattress at the time. :o

They should make it an Olympic event!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

And don't forget to hoover it as well as turning it, apparently keeps the dust mites down or something like that :o

    ;D ;D
