I've also worked at a small mailing house and you would be expected to stuff 100 envelopes within minutes which would probably equate to a pound or two of pay. In house jobs were paid at min wage, take home jobs varied depending on how quick you could be.

Anyone looking for this type of work is advised to contact small local companies. Small cos the larger ones use machinery. Local cos there's so little money in this type of job.

I have Googled this company and this thread came up. I picked up a slip of paper in the hairdressers the other week and sent an SAE for the info and got info from this company requesting £29.99.

    The address is:-

    The Mailing Company Ltd
    5 Georges Row
    Briton Ferry
    West Glamorgan
    SA11 2JT

The name of the director on the letter is Ms T Ferns.

After reading post number 5 it sounds like one of those pyramid things.

  • I want to let you know about a new scam company - EmailListUS!

We've been cooperating with EmailListUS about 2 months on a tiny order and they can't fulfil our requirements, however, before we paid them they assured us that everything would be ok and were prompt in there replies. When we gave them our template of the email for mailing they inserted incorrect hyperlinks many times, however we gave them a ready for use template. Just copy and paste.

But still they made everything in their own wrong way. Having made mailing we coludn't track track the esults, because they still haven't inserted our tracking link. It's rediculious if such a professional company can't even copy and paste or they just don't wan't us to track their results.

They really seem to be fraud. We demand our money back, but they give us even late replies, just if we send the same email several times. We strongly advise you not to work with them.

Just put it into some perspective. A company called Neopost, one of the largest companies for Franking machines also does a letter folding and envelope inserting machine which cost a couple of grand so why would they pay a person more to do it!

Me too! Local warehouse that my mate runs the security at, he got me in basically. It was things like putting birthday cards into the film wraps and putting a price sticker on, or putting 3 leaflets into an envelope. All had to be done the right way around etc.
I can't remember how much we got paid, but it wasn't alot, and you got backache sitting there doing them all for 4 hours every evening!! I seem to remember we did about 6 different batches, and ended up with about £130 at the end of the month. We didn't do it for long.

This sounds terrible - you must have become literally suicidal after a few days of that kind of monotony!

I still think that the best way to make a residual income online is via blogging. if you set up a blog about your hobby or something that you have an interest in then creating unique and relevant content (key to blogging success) is not a problem and you will quickly see your advertising income grow month on month. I have a blog that generated me 2.2k in profit last month so I would be happy to chat to anyone over PM if you are looking to start up your own blog.

Have seen one of these shop notices - with an address on Dane Terrace in the Black Country. Figured it was worth a stamp to see what came of it, and got the form letter from the Briton Ferry address, initialed by TF.

Looks like it fits with what poosmate says in reply #10 above. Lots of vague promises, and a sly notice that your details may be passed on to other companies. I have scanned it for putting online somewhere - but haven't decided where, just yet.

I feel a bit sorry for the people who've got caught up in this. I imagine them trying desperately to make it work.
