Just sitting here wondering how many times people have to hear the words...
Don't get involved
before it sinks in.0 -
If something sounds too good to be true then it is!! There are a million companies doing this scam, either you will nothing back from your money and they refuse to answer all communication or they will send you a leaflet telling you to repost the advert and take money off other unsuspecting people.
If in doubt try googling the name of the company with 'scam' after it and will get plenty of horror stories. No reputable company will ask for money up front. If you applied for a job in a shop would they ask you for £20 before you started work? No, of course not, and if they did you would think something was wrong, so don't fall for it from mail companies where you can't even get hold of them when something does go wrong.0 -

Sadly the reason it doesn't sink in is the very same reason the con works.
Some people are so desperate for money that they want, even need it to work. They know there is a 99.99% chance it is a con, but they are so far down all they have left to cling to is that 00.01% chance it is not a con.
It's the reason they buy a lottery ticket for a 14,000,000 to 1 chance of winning
They know there is little chance of it working, but if it does it will be the answer to all their problems. And at that moment in time it's the only option they can see that could get them out of the whole they are in.0 -

Why do you really need to ask? why would any company want to get someone to do this when its much cheap to get equipment to do it. Of course 99.9% are there for the gullible

I did do it once about ten years ago. It was for a local company and you could only get the job via a current employee. They never advertised for people because they could always get people via word of mouth. The money was pretty bad, but I was a student at the time and glad for any spare cash.0 -
Me too! Local warehouse that my mate runs the security at, he got me in basically. It was things like putting birthday cards into the film wraps and putting a price sticker on, or putting 3 leaflets into an envelope. All had to be done the right way around etc.
I can't remember how much we got paid, but it wasn't alot, and you got backache sitting there doing them all for 4 hours every evening!! I seem to remember we did about 6 different batches, and ended up with about £130 at the end of the month. We didn't do it for long.Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!
C'MON! Let's get this debt sorted!!0 -
My sister in law wrapped birthday cards etc a few years ago, she never paid any money up front though. You had a put an awful lot of cards in bags to make any money!0
