Email Hosting in the UK - any recs?

We currently use a UK co to host our emails but their servers are in the US and so when they are doing maintenance its usually in the day for us which means we are forever having problems receiving emails and having quite a bit of down time. (i sound like i know what im talking about but im afraid i don't!)

So i thought that maybe we could transfer our emails to someone who hosts in the UK?

Is this an easy thing to do and how do I find the best company and how much am i looking at price wise?

I am self employed and use my emails constantly through the day etc

Point your domain to google apps.
Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.

www.zen.co.uk come highly recommend, I use them for all our business and personal accounts, faultless service, but not the cheapest I'd guess.

If you are looking to for hosted exchange plenty of companies do this (including Zen), worth a google, Kingston Communications are also good, we've had good service from them before.

www.mailtrust.com - they are in the US but would not be foolish to pull a stunt like that!

Another vote for Google Apps here.

However... if your provider are doing so much maintenance that there is significant downtime as you describe there is something wrong with your existing provider!
