Best system to send Sky signal upstairs to bedroom?

Hi, I am thinking of upgrading my TV in the bedroom to an LCD, and in the process making it so I can watch Sky in there too. Now, I have no roof aerial, I have a digital ready tv top one but it doesn't seem to pick up ALL the channels despite be being spitting distance from the transmitter, but this may be down to my old freeview box, so I thought about getting a sender gadget that would broadcast the signal up through the floor wirelessly, so can anyone recommend a not too expensive one that will allow me to change channel upstairs. Or, the Sky dish is right outside my bedroom window, so I could in theory hook up my old Sky+ box (i upgraded to HD) and have the freeview channels on there, but do I have enough LNB ports available, and, is it a big job it loads of mess and drilling?

You should have spare connections on your LNB, most have 4 outlets and only 2 are used, so your best option would be to use the existing dish.
One small hole required for cable.0 -
Cheers for that, yay someone replied! I have no idea what the install is like for Sky as my last 2 houses already had the holes there for the cables (old coax cable for aerial must have used it at some point) so I wasn't sure how much this would cost or how much mess we'd be talking! Thanks

A standard Sky+ install gives you a quad LNB on the dish.
I done an install earlier this week for my son with the remaining connection on the LNB. I got my cable from Ebay. An 8mm drill, WF100 cable and a couple of F connectors is what you'll need.Dave. :wave:0 -
Easiest option is to run a cable from the LNB to your SKY box in your bedroom.
The size of the job will only depend on how you can get the cable into your room.
Can you actually get to the LNB no problem?
TBH the sender gadgets are not great over anything but a fairly short distance0 -
Cheers guys. Hooked up my old Sky+ box and its fine, have got a local installer coming to run an extra cable for £30 in an hour or so! Result!
Update!! All in and working, cables are out of sight and very professional install, took him less than 30 mins, very impressed. Anyone who wants the guy's number PM me, im in the Stoke on Trent areaCC limits £26000
