Hello, i hope someone can help.
I'm flying to Kefalonia on 24th May, I've paid to sit together, paid for extra leg room and paid to chose where i sit. Thomson are saying we are flying on a 757 and I've chosen seats as such.(I've phoned up twice)
Here lies the problem, I've found from another forum (very knowledgeable people) and another website that in fact it will be a 737!. I am very ignorant about planes but this is a far smaller plane, seating very different etc. I don't know the exact numbers but its at least 50 people less
.Another chap who is also on the forum and is a Thomson employee also confirmed this and also said the pilot and crew of the 757 can't land at Stansted anyway.
At the moment I'm not so bothered about the extra legroom i just want to get on the plane!!, i'm planning on getting to check in early anyway but just out of interest and we are the ones who couldn't get on this flight where do we legally stand as its the fault of Thomson:mad:?
I'm flapping and stressing and we still have two and a half weeks to go
I can't get any answers from Thomson they are just going by whats in front of there nose on the screen, which to them is correct.
Anybody have any ideas or should i just chill out and stop stressing:beer:
Thanks for any help given:T

737 and 757 both have 3-3 seating.
A 737 is likely to have fewer extra legroom seats, so perhaps ask them to confirm that you will get them.
A 757 can land at Stansted http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?aircraft_genericsearch=%3Dboeing\+757*&airlinesearch=&countrysearch=-+London+-+Stansted+(STN+%2F+EGSS)&specialsearch=&daterange=&keywords=&range=&sort_order=datestamp+desc&page_limit=15&thumbnails=Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Why do you think you won't get on the plane?
Have you claimed for not getting row 32 then?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

A 737 is smaller than a 757, thomson are booking people on a 757, if the 757 is fully booked as the web says it is and we fly on a 737 where are all the other people going to sit?. That is the only answer i would like
nothing more or less0 -
This route is normally serviced using a 737-800 but according to Thomsons systems they are booking at 757-200, which they do operate out of Stansted, just not normally on this route.
Airlines can change planes due to scheduling and maintenance time to time but this is very uncommon to put a larger plane on.
Please get written documentation as to the reservation of extra leg room seats, rather than allocated seating. If in the event of you not being given the extra leg room you will be credited the full amount back. If you are just allocated seats, then these are the seats you will be sitting in - irrelevant of plane type.
It would be Thomson's responsibility to get you on the plane or look after you if they did fully load a 757 and then allocate a 737.I'm going for my QuidCo £million!
